I got one for you guys, inspired by one of the most recent episodes of MATI and a comment from @LimeRikki in the "Femoid Advice" thread.

Baldo's assertion: I didn't explicitly say X.
Null's assertion: But by saying Y in the context of Z you're drawing a connection in the mind of the person you're talking to!
Baldo: Nuh uh.
I've been in similar situations so many times in my life and it makes me feel absolutely insane.
Yes, I know I'm not psychic, and I'll admit my brain does sometimes go overboard when pattern matching, but what are you supposed to do in situations like this?

To me, like it is to Null, it seems obvious what Rekieta is doing, but I guess it's not obvious to Baldo's audience. What's more, the rules of society mean we're not "allowed" to call people out when they do this, and if we try, it seems like we're suddenly surrounded by an angry mob of people telling us we're crazy/wrong and reading too much into things.

It also sucks when you're a little kid and you learn that if you try to call people out on this stuff, you get in trouble, and then you learn that's how you're supposed to communicate, so you try it, and then you're bad at it and that also gets people mad at you.

e.g. When you finally snap at someone for pushing you over the edge and you get the "Why didn't you just tell them to stop?" when you'd already done all the stuff you were "supposed" to do leading up to that point and apparently it wasn't good enough/you did it wrong/nobody noticed.

You're supposed to stop wasting time trying to figure out what a faggot like Rekieta is even trying to communicate, because he isn't.

Just tell him shut the fuck up fag, block him, then make fun of him in public, because that's what he REALLY hates.

Another issue directly related to this is the stigma that can come from having an autism diagnosis. If people know you're autistic, they're also generally more inclined to read into everything you're doing as being somehow socially inappropriate.

Which is a good reason to just never bring it up around new people. Especially if you are decently competent at social masking, as many lady autists have to be to get by.

Ughhh, this brings up school-age memories. You ask your classmates bothering you to stop intentionally doing XYZ, they cheekily say they aren't doing anything (because whatever they're doing is so small/unnoticeable a normal person wouldn't be bothered by it, but they know it bothers you so they do it more,) then when you have a meltdown your teacher acts like YOU'RE the crazy person. Damned if you ask them to stop, damned if you don't, damned all around because you dare to exist while being retarded. I don't think there's anything you CAN do "right" in that situation, it's just phrased as if there was. Like "Why did you let that bullet make you bleed on your shirt??" it's not like you had control over that.

It's the "implications are not statements" fallacy, I've fallen into it many a time. My sister will imply x to pull my leg, I will call her out in it, she will say "I didn't state x so why are you trying to extrapolate my intentions". Very slippery thing, Im dumb enough to fall for it almost every time cause the other party is using technicalities to get away.

I'm sure that there are foamers of the womanly persuasion out there, but I am not personally acquainted any.

So what you’re saying is, Chris-chan has feminine type autism.
Chris is mostly obsessed with G4 but he got obsessed with the poners from the G3-3.5 time thanks to Megan.
That's tragic, male and female autists could share an appreciation for My Little Pony, but the autistic tendency to dislike change prevents them from seeing past the superficial difference in generations. Like two parallel lines, alike but destined never to meet.
It's just as well really. Because that shit would have been seriously crossing the beams.

Why is it harder for females to get diagnosed with autism?
It's more socially acceptable to be withdrawn and quiet. Women are also better at masking in general
What problems do women with it face that guys (usually) don't?
Sensory hell with any kind of fashion. Makeup, hairdos...
Did you actually mind having the tism or is it just 'what it is'?
I do. I've always been sensitive to loud noises and normies just don't get it. Otherwise, I'm fine with my brain.!
What's your take on "self diagnosed autists"?
Don't like it if they're just faking it for clout. It's not cool
Do you feel bad for any of the cows with autism or do you just feel schadenfreude?
I do. I'm just a compassionate person in general.

How Autistic is Mint Salad? To me she comes off as kinda retarded needing a caretaker, but I would like to hear from the experts.
Can you remind me of who that is, please?

The whole caretaker/support thing is incredibly murky and complex. Low IQ autists sometimes need less support than you'd expect, high IQ autists sometimes need more. A lot of it ties into additional mental health issues; women like myself who once lived and worked independently often end up needing support after catastrophic breakdown or burn out. Autists with a lower IQ are often much more mentally stable because they're not expected to work and support themselves, and avoid much of the stress and pressure that more independent autists eventually end up snapping under. On the other hand, low IQ autists have exactly the same problems that non autistic low IQ adults have, only with autism on top of everything else.

Tl;dr it's complicated.

My fellow autist girlies, how do you cope with work? I’ve always worked, always had multiple jobs, and every so often I just get into a slump where I can’t take it anymore. Most jobs are such bullshit and it’s not the actual work that bothers me, it’s everything around it. I should be milking cows or tending to crops or something. I feel really burned out.
