I don't usually like to get into dark topics like this, but I really have to comment. Josh Duggar admitted to sexually abusing several of his sisters between 1 and 5 years of age. His father put him in Christian counselling and sent him away. He later got a "stern" talking to this about a state trooper.

This State Trooper is now serving time for Child Pornography. His church basically covered up what he did. All he did was have to say he was sorry, that was it.

When I go to the news pages I see people supporting the Duggars and they are all CHRISTIANS! And I am ashamed of that. Many people are calling Christians out on the hypocrisy of this act...and you know they are right.

I feel there is a problem when a sex scandal happens in the Church or Christian community there is a desire to want to sweep it under the rug, and just pretend like it didn't happen. The problem is that the Bible says that ALL your sins will be uncovered. I say it is time to stop covering up abuse and things that go wrong in the church, yes no one is perfect. But that does not mean we let people who commit crimes go away with a slap on the wrist.

This is a problem the Christian Community needs to address. There are criminals and people who prey on the helpless in the body of Christ, wolves in the disguise of the sheep. The fact we are now learning this is a sign to me that even in God's eyes the Duggars did wrong because ALL sins will be revealed."

My family was like this from when I was about 5 until my mom left my dad when I was 12. My parents didn't do "quivering" but I was homeschooled with only creation "science" curriculum, "home church" with other crazy people, no TV, no internet, no video games, beat with a rod for stuff like "being defiant".

I definitely knew a couple families with zillions of kids and others with 12 and 13 year olds who couldn't read.

I can probably give some insight if anyone has questions about the community or whatever.

As vile as rape and incest are, I can understand why Josh Duggar's age should be taken into account. He was in his mid teens at the time, so as vile as he is, he doesn't deserve condemnation in the same way as a Jimmy Page or a Bryan Singer.

Ma and Pa Duggar on the other hand, I'm significantly less charitable towards. Pretty much everything that parents should do when confronted with a situation like this is the exact opposite of what they did and promoted. They're so terrified of extramarital sex that even the safety of their own children isn't worth confronting it. To be honest, they should have their kids taken away by social services for this shit. It's just a shame it'll be tough to prosecute or sue them at this point.

As for Josh Duggar now, I'm very worried. He was not properly dealt with when they first noticed his problems. There's a decent chance he's already metastasized into a Jimmy Page. I'm terrified for his daughters.
