r/antiwork - Yes, it's exactly what it sounds like.

How will society function without jobs?

This ain't the 50s. Not all leftwingers are your traditional factory proletariat labor organizers.

In my experience most people who call themselves anarchists are actually leftwingers who are anticorporatist and anti traditional authority but ironically actually favor government/group coercion/jannism and social welfare leveling vs meritocracy. Thats the vibe I get from the sub for example their specific callouts in the sidebar against 'rightwing' boogeymen which is the calling card of powertripping jannies.
In my experience most people, when you describe anarchism to them without using the scary A word, agree with it on principle if not in practice. Because really I think "we should all share what we have and take care of each other" kind of goes beyond politics, everybody on earth teaches their kids some version of that ethic. Thing is like any ideology the more hardline you are about it the dumber it gets. And one way or another nothing functions without some sort of organization, which is ironically something even most influential anarchists thinkers were well aware of (I wouldn't call anarchism anti-government at its core, it's more extremely limited and decentralized government).

Most American anarchists are idiots without any nuance whatsoever so this naturally gets lost in the swirling maelstrom of their own stupidity however. That and they're all obsessed with identity bullshit and don't care about actual solutions to anything, which are usually more boring then smashing a bank window and dressing in all black because it makes you look totally badass.

Alright now that it is back up lets look at the "All time Top" posts to see how valid the "Actually they're really just pro work!" nonsense is.

1. Fanfiction about quitting a job.
2. Fanfiction about quitting a job.
3. Fanfiction about quitting a job
4. Fanfiction about quitting a job
5. "Working won't lead to a better life"
6. Some black woman on twitter replying to a news article
7. Fanfiction about quitting a job
8. Fanfiction about quitting a job
9. Fanfiction about someone else quitting a job
10. Fanfiction about getting fired

So we where both wrong and it is actually just a fanfiction depository. What a misunderstanding!

there's a bunch of hidden comments with a positive amount of votes shit talking reddit mods

i wonder if this will be the moment where these people wake up and realize that defending troons purely because they're trans is a bad idea. oh what the hell, it's reddit. that will never happen

but then again, maybe it will
"You guys don't understand, it wasn't rape because I was super horny"

Well, it literally means "no state" which is typically a government.

I agree that lots of online (and offline) LARPers use it to mean "no organization" and "no hierarchies of any kind" but still would say "anti-government" is prominent in all its branches. (Even if a lot of left-anarchists often seem to really want a state to provide lots of things for free.)

"The LGBLTP community" is just code for troons now. I don't think any of that nonsense has been about what actual gays or lesbians think about anything for a long time. Like everything on social media, the most obssessive troons took it over and now it's only about what social media troons want or think. I mean look at this guy. He doesn't even try to look like a woman. He just slapped on some lipstick and called it a day, and I'm supposed to be okay with that person using the women's restroom.
I'd say it's more a code for troons, "bisexual" women who only ever find themselves in straight relationships, BDSM degenerates who want your kids to watch them be degenerate and anybody else who can come up with some sort of excuse to be apart of it for the express purpose of shilling for trannies. It's kinda funny that the homos are just kinda off doing their own thing and the lesbians have active contempt for the trannies, such a fractured community.
Also yeah, that thing is a freak and if I saw him try to use the same bathroom as my gf, I'd beat the shit out of him.

The problem with every capitalized letter movement is that there's never any written-in-stone definition of what the movement actually stands for. Even Communists. Are you a Leninist or Trotskyite? The only thing those sub-groups agree on is their mutual desire to kill one another. It always devolves into a No True Scotsman debacle.

The Judean People's Front??? Fuck you, we're the People's Front of Judea! Splitters!

One thing that makes me irate about the users is how they're still referring to Doreen with "she/her" pronouns. Because god forbid that you offend one tranny janny mod that has it coming, still got to show respect to that larp even though he doesn't deserve it. Same shit with Aimee Challenor, there's never a reason for very mild transphobia with these people. I'm not asking for full on 41% memes but it wouldn't kill them to point out the obvious; that's a man.

Dorien isn't actually a bad pick to represent the subreddit, they were just honest about many of the members being just lazy. Also many reddit mods are also power hungry perverts anyway, Like they could fine anyone better. The only smart move was reject the interview to begin with, but redditors aren't smart.

I can't help but wonder, what would a successful less embarrassing Doreen interview have looked like?

The interviewer was masterful. "You don't want to work? Aren't you just lazy? By the way, you're a 30 year old dog walker? Well, goodbye."

Almost like he knew in advance. 🤔

If the janny had had a modicum of self-awareness and was able to identify his own flaws, would he have had any chance to get out in front of this?

Fox isn't going to do a 10 second interview. Imagine leading with "well first off Jesse, I'm 30 and I've been in this movement a while, and you might be surprised to hear this, but in spite of being anti-work I actually have a job in animal care. So we don't want to sit around doing nothing all day, what we actually want is ... "

But who enforces worker equity in the absence of a centralized authority? Wealth redistribution usually doesn't happen voluntarily, and you need an armed authority to enact threats of death and imprisonment to accomplish half the goals modern anarchists claim to have. The only anarchic solution is lynch mobs, and Kyle Rittenhouse shut down that theory pretty quickly. Anarchism and authoritarianism are on the opposite ends of the compass, but most people that call themselves anarchists actually promote Marxist authoritarianism. I figured it was just a may to provide cover to communist movements, but maybe they're just too ignorant to understand the difference.

Trans autistic POC? What color is he, white?

Did anyone get "Doreen's" real name? I bet it's Darren or something.

Cliffnotes version
  • New janny (u/EphraelStern), who specializes in "disrupting far right infiltration of social media spaces"
  • Mod team is still being restructured
    • Two "temporary" mods have been added specifically to deal with quote-on-quote "brigading"
  • Winter Trabex has been removed as a mod
What he did not include in his post is that the community found out that u/Whitepirate15 is a moderator as well. He's deleted every post he has ever made (thankfully preserved here, however) and I can see why.
