I remember after my MEPs visit I had to have ear wax removed and then discovered that there are several videos on yoitube dedicated to ear wax removal
many are odly satisfying and some make you glad you live in a first world country
I regret to inform you that your "first world country" comment was unnecessary.
My favorite ear wax channel is for a clinic in Wales. (Inb4 a joke about Wales being a 3rd world country)

this is next level crazy

These videos are top tier dermatological horror. That last one with what I presume was rotting, molding skin being flayed off with a razor blade is the best. I won't lie. I didn't realize skin could turn into a solid white mass like this.

More on the DIY medical procedures. No need to see a gyno to clean out those backed up Bartholin glands. Just take your trusted mini camera tool and go to town. Make sure to upload the up close video of your vulva to reddit to score internet brownie points. Don't worry about the blood coming out of the glands. I'm sure that's normal.

Here's a cartoon so you can figure out where the bleeding is coming from.

If you trust the comment section, it seems like this is a common health problem. At least, it's a common health problem amongst redditors with poor hygiene and possible STD's. Roughly 2% of women are expected to experience a Bartholin cyst or gland abscess in their lifetime.

u/xan_trippy has posted another video before in which she shows off her terrible oral hygiene, which she attributes to depression. I think we have our answer to why she has cysts on her ladybits.

(OC) Got a lil clump of tonsil stones out! Sorry for the gagging/spit. Marked NSFW for that reason. Also yes, my oral hygiene isn’t the best. Depression sucks but I’m trying.

If you look closely at the video, you'll see that the user has facial hair. Now, that doesn't make a lick of sense if this is a legit, normal woman. Unless the user is lying about the first video being from their own body, we're going to have to assume that they're on cross sex hormones. We can get a better view of their entire face from another video they've posted. Looks like we've located a gayden in the wild and their many health problems can be attributed to their poor life choices.

For better or worse, right now the OP could have just been a link to the top posts on r/popping. It's just about the videos existing.

I think what would merit a thread on the community itself would be a focus on individual submitters, like the guy who damaged his scrotum. Someone's multistep, lovingly-documented journey from a red spot they're poking at to a central line and broad-spectrum antibiotics; case studies, especially if meanwhile they're off posting in r/anime that they need a series to binge-watch while they're inpatient.

It might be a PCOS sufferer.

Don't forget the inevitable community of otherwise completely sane people who cultivate cysts and abcesses just to be able to pop them for the satisfaction/views
My mouth waters as I anticipate the Vice documentary on how the Ukraine war hit the Crimean pimple farming cottage industry

Can this be considered as a new form of self-mutilation? As I said, it's not bad if you watch disgusting stuff for relief if you need it, but playing doctor of your own body takes it too far. Especially if the doctor tells you the irritation isn't even worth removing.

The skin constantly regenerates itself and some pimples are so minor you dont even have to bother popping them.
No surprise the people who do this kind of stuff to themselves and even actively cultivating their collection of cysts to expand
have a roster of mental disorders they suffer from.

If you have low life quality, you get more vulnerable to getting far too involved into any kind of shit including this.

Okay, I'm curious... what is your guys physiological response at seeing videos like this?

My scalp has gone completely itchy and I'm uncomfortable enough that it makes me want to squirm and move around. Seems like a response as if I'd want to make sure to touch every bodypart to check if there aren't worms burrowing into my skin or something. Wondering if that's just between my ears or if others have something similar.

Nothing, unless relief counts. I think I missed my calling as a dermatologist, then again med school would have weeded me out. I have a really strong stomach for weird skin stuff but not trauma or internal surgery. And no I'm not divorced or single. I just think it's an innate grooming instinct gone awry with exposure to the internet just like so many things, and as such I had better not come back here if I know what's good for me.

Jeez, move this thing to the lolcow salon and watch it become a pimple popping fan thread. Weirdos.

Although in respect to the videos themselves, women are already accustomed to watching stuff like makeup tutorials and vlogs and mukbangs so it doesn't surprise me they're more the target demographic for this kind of content. With the popping itself aside, they're clearly comfortable with a greater degree of interpersonal closeness with strangers, b/c imo all those other videos feel overly intimate too. It's like, you know...get out of my god damned house, stranger on the internet applying eye shadow and talking about true crime.

I like the pimple and cyst videos enough that I’m able to define my preference for the big ones that tease at first with little blurts of white stuff, but you can see more under the skin when they pinch it…and suddenly SPLORT a big goosh! I can feel my eyes dilating with the buildup and the release is just so pleasurable. I wonder if this is something akin to what the ASMR fags experience? I have always been like this and yes, my partner is a constant victim. I’ve idly wondered if I put an ad on Craigslist would I find people who would let me squeeze thier bacne. I would never do something that weird but still I’ve thought about it.

If I had 3 wishes my third wish would be for a constantly renewing cyst in an easily accessible spot.

I have to say, cow hoof trimming videos are surprisingly addictive and I don't know why. They just started popping up in my feed one day and triggered some of my (not so) latent degeneracy.

honestly as someone that grew up around the animals, cow/horse hoof care is super neat. plus they're actually helping the animals in a real way unlike some of this.. content.
