Im pretty sure this has been discussef before, but what attracts troons to modding? It it a false sense of power, a sense of purpose, or something else im forgetting?

I had asked early on about joining the team as a writer expecting the people on board to be older than me (For context I am 19) mostly as a way to see if I actually think my writing is any good. Hearing from a dev that a good chunk of the team was younger than me was a massive red flag, moreso than their autism with politics. I am glad I didn't join what looks to be a FBI honeypot in waiting.

This video goes through a discussion we had earlier in the thread about how silly the US fascist path is
There's more he didn't go through, like how the divide in territory, manpower, and generals makes no sense, and is based more in modern political divides rather than those of the 30s

I think the only way to do a US fascist or communist path is to intertwine them where increased radicalism and political division throughout four years eventually leads to a civil war between the radicals. Without both communist and fascist radicals it makes no sense that the democrats and republicans wouldn't just form a common block against the radicals.

He didn't really provide his sources on neo nazi and neo confederate modern relations other than 2 4chan posts, neither did he provide evidence that neo confederism wasn't around in the 30s or that they hated Nazis. I agree with his argument but he should have presented evidence.

The video's pretty poorly researched in general. It felt like he was talking off the top of his head with stuff he'd read on the internet before.
The whole point about neoconfederates not liking neonazis for making them look bad is especially stupid. There's neonazi neoconfederates, neonazis, and neoconfederates. Ignoring them making themselves look bad, it's the neonazi neoconfederates than make the moderate neoconfederates look worse than they are. I don't think anyone would link neoconfederates and neonazis as much if there weren't examples of neonazi neoconfederates since they're different ideologies. There'll always be that scrutiny of them being racist, but racism doesn't automatically make you a neonazi. Unless you're a liberal, I guess.
