If this thread wasn't for HOI4 mods overall Kaiserreich might've been deserving of it's own thread solely to document the unironic communists who have that thought process.

One thing i didn't get, they removed a line on Dilerwanger's tree for refering to rape (but the lines of plunder and killing are ok) and now removed Chikatilo for being le funny.
However, they decided that it was ok to put Konrad Henlein was leader of a literal rape country, who will kidnap german and czech women for "breeding aryans". maybe rape reference is ok if it's in industrial escale

It's looking like there going to go the way of Kaiserreich. Removing the "wacky" paths because "my alt hist scenario is super realistic and serious you guys! THIS COULD HAVE HAPPENED!"

Something something rape bad. Paradox removed some rape event for their meme Satanist cult in CK2 and replaced it with cannibalism. TNO Devs love removing shit like the Bormann rape event when people in the community begin making jokes about it because it's problematic or something.

I'm fairly sure base game HOI4 has an option that makes the AI choose completly random focus trees, so what's the point of removing focus trees for being too crazy when the AI will almost never chose them by default?

If I recall the Lawrence coup was extremely rare for the AI to do because you HAD to pick certain things in events, the only way to force it with the AI was to set it in the country paths. Yet they removed it for making the TI too weak.

They also rewrote last focus of Dirlewanger brigade because brigade full of former SS rapists had focus text that suggested they are going to rape on their wild ride in Siberian wastelands.

kaissereich is closer to a franchise than an actual mod so there'll be a lot to unpack. they have their own film and music department, make youtube videos like crazy, and even have physical merch. The amount of patreon money they pull in must be huge (for a mod)

Thats the thing. It's not them who get the cash. Kaisercat cinemas gets the money, who have no real affiliation with the mod. It's a whole weird thing. I'll probably create the threat tonight

they also hold a panel every year at PDXCON, so they're pretty fuckin' big. But that's a chunk of cash to be dropping into someone's pocket. Weird.

From my understanding, Kaisercat Cinema is operated by former devs of the mod as a semi-affiliated group and help host Kaiserreich at PDX-Con. I should also get into some history of Kaiserreich at some point but it started out as a mod for Darkest Hour that was basically a Russia wank by Russians, very little of that version of the mod exists in an subsequent editions for later versions of HoI.
