It went from old Freddie accusing the Redux mod of trying to dox him to the Redux getting nuked to Freddie being doxxed to someone leaking the entirety of the old TNO Dev chats to people digging through those chats and finding someone with an amputation fetish to that someone apparently being a 17 year old Freddie and the others were trying to groom and making sexualized posts and art about them. All in the span of like what-1 month?
Honestly, more like in the span of just over a week. Maybe 12 days. It's just that SoI 4 modding communities are so exceptional and TNO was so big its drama alone managed to last to upwards of a month with a of extra timber to keep it going on the way. As is always said, an exceptional lolcow trait is the ability to prolong their bullshit because of how they react to it.
The worst part about Mosley's portrayal in KR is how he is seen as a warmongering expansionist dictator, which is the complete opposite of what he proposed in OTL. He was anti-war, as he believed only (((International bankers and arms dealers))) actually gained something from warfare; He was pro-democracy, as he believed that fascism as an ideology would change from nation to nation according to its culture, with him defending Hitler and Mussolini's tyranny by stating that was the side-effect of Germany and Italy's imperial past, and that British fascism should be more aligned with the democratic and liberal ideals of Britain...
But it seems like they ignored his entire (quirky, but interesting) philosophy and went with the assumption that every fascist was a Mussolini-like warmongering dictator in a cool uniform that shoots protesters.
Yeah, Oswald was actually very progressive for his time. Despite his "trad" policies he believed in woman in the workforce and universal suffrage. But that his economic policies would be so effective woman wouldn't feel the need to enter the workforce because of the high wages of their husbands no matter what they worked as. He started off as a left wing cabinet of economics minister, when they shot down his proposals of economic reform that he was charged with he joined the right wing. He ended up joining the right wing afterwords and leaving that because of their approval of the Black and Tans which he saw as an "international embarrassment." The Black and Tans being a special police unit made up of ww1 veterans who carried out extremely brutal acts of abuse and oppression in Northern Ireland during the uprising of the IRA. Abuse that would became encouraged and centrally planned from Britian. This is when he forms the British Union of Fascists.
Oswald himself was an extraordinary natural speaker who gets overshadowed by Hitler's excellent speech skills and highly choreographed movements because they existed in the exact same time slot. He believed Fascism and the one party state would bring "true democracy" to the people for the first time and saw it was a peoples' government. As opposed to standard democracy in which he called "Financial Democracy." His idea was to create a meritocracy that would turn ministers and politicians into men of action and rapidly promote skilled and consistent workers, as opposed to men of talk. So an example, since Britian would become an autarky, farmers would have a guranteed market with set prices and high wages. The better of a farmer you were the more land you got so you could be an even better farmer. Being a party of action as a opposed to a party of talk was one of his most favored talking points. His idea for a new voting system was for voting to be broken up by job, so doctors vote on doctor candidates to manage them, miners vote for miner candidates in the miner election, etc. To appoint to the party and run their sector. "Professionals voting for professionals as he called it." As for defense, he believed Britain should have a powerful army used only in self-defense of its people and no other reason.
His opinion on foreign policy was just that everyone should embrace their own characteristic Fascism and that Britain is the best and most awesome place and exemplary world leaders to all. Besides his fluff of England he said "We can live together in peace and friendship side by side in separate nations and cultures. But, we cannot have the mixing of races." And that jews were dual national because they were jews and had no place in England. As for his more controversial stuff he was very pro eugenics but that you could live segregated from everyone else in a shitty ghetto if you were considered up for eugenics but didn't want to be sterilized. His march on cable street was probably gonna turn into another Night of Broken Glass (infamous event in Nazi Germany where people started damaging property of known Jews and beating them to death.)
So yeah, Oswald Mosley is a very very interesting character who while dated today, had very progressive ideas for his time and cruel policies that were actually much lighter than fellow Fascists and even what some democracies wanted to do like Eugenics. He truly believed in what he spoke about. But, as we know today from China, meritocracies tend to be really bad at promoting skilled people. His election system sounds like a mess. And his big idea of how he was going to bring about his Fascist people's utopia, he pretty much said in his promotional pamphlet "We're going to hold a vote in parliament and if congress shoots a bill down that proclaims a one party system we will shoot congress down." That's why he's such an interesting character with novel and interesting ideas that make for imaginative "What if?" scenarios.
EDIT: Forgot to mention this and putting it in now because I feel like it's a great disservice I completely forgot to add this to my little bit about his foreign policy and why it looks so empty in hindsight. The baseline of his racial policy was that one should serve the interests of their own race before others, but not at the expense of others. And that it's man's secondary objective to help the races that aren't his own. He saw the treatment of Indians and Africans in the Empire as cheap sweatshop labour as completely unacceptable. Because it undermined local industries but also because of his genuine hatred of the labour conditions faced by those races. That it was unacceptable to treat anyone like that and that it wasn't worthy of Europe's proud heritage. Even though he absolutely despised Communism and believed in a united bulwark against it, you can really see his left leaning routes in all his beliefs. Oswald Mosely is a fascinating character who if not for his unfortunate association with Hitler and the existence of WW2 would likely be seen in a very different light today. Doubly so if he had remained socialist.
