Plagued /r/TNOmod and the Reddit HOI4 modding community - When a subreddit for a video game mod turns to utter insanity

Don't know why they'd dedicate so much time to this stuff when they haven't even completed the VIP majors.
Probably also because they have no one on the team capable of doing it
Oh wait yes I do, it's seething & wish fulfillment re: the space race. Apparently Goldwater cut American NASA funding to the bone, might even have privatized the program because he's such an evil service-cutting penny-pinching conservative, and that's why the US space program fails in BTWH's timeline - even though IRL he was as big a fan of it as anyone else.
Lefty Hoi4 modders trying not to see a historical moderate conservative as nothing more than 2 dimensional cartoon villain challenge impossible.
If anything, it was the radical left that wanted to kill the space program in favor of mo' welfare:

Paradox multiplayer have at least gotten more stable over time. EU4 was infamously finnicky as was HOI3 and Vic2 way back in the day. They are a lot more stable now. I too hope they don't try and capture lightining in a bottle and instead just let it be, it is better to allow for such things to develop organically than to force them.

The commie faggots on Bring the War Home should just do a Alternate History scenario already, they obviously don't much care about the game and mostly want to shit on capitalism while enjoying their extreme capitalistic lifestyles.

So, how come a mod like Old World Blues that has even the most extreme factions from the Fallout universe like The Enclave and Ceasar's Legion is chugging along nicely, but these oh-so ambitious project aren't? I wonder, what separates a community like that and a one that is full of politically charged radicals?
The one posted a few pages back that had glow in the dark niggers at least looked funny, if you're not going to go all out and let people have fun with, what's the point? Nobody gives two shits about playing as literally who to establish some fringe political system/fanfic alliance that only the devs ever thought about, with every other bit of content either lacking or absent

It not being real life gives enough degrees of seperation that the autists who want to shove their politics into everything don't care enough, they fantasise about the communist utopia IRL not in Fallout or MLP.

Old World Blues and Equestria at War are two of the best mods ever made for HOI4, and unlike these other mods, they're actually fun to play instead of being heavily scripted visual novels.

They din dun gone and done it (or will do it, rather):

Also, if you weren't aware, TNO released their new update recently, with a whopping three (3) years of content for various Ukrainian paths, most of which inevitably end in Germany eating them one way or another, and another whopping three (3) years of content for one of the UK paths, with the inclusion of which old UK content has been deactivated (can be reactivated via game rule, for now). Other "major" additions of the patch is something of a facelift for Japan, and a fix for the infamous USA proxy conflict lag. I think that's it.

Truly an impressive haul, considering this update started out with the intention of having full content for Poland, and I'm pretty sure Ukraine was supposed to have more content as well. The Br*tish content was only slapped on because they managed to get the submod working on that integrated, imagine if this update only had three years of content for Ukraine.

Panzersisters, we just can't stop winning.

I played The Ruin update and it's basically a downgrade, these are my upsides and downsides for the update:
Upsides:
-USA proxy conflict bug is fixed
That's it
Downsides:
-Every single British path was removed for fucking 5 years of gameplay for mediocrity
-if you go Nazi Britain, the game ends for you, flat out, so only two paths are actually playable and not three
-There's point in sabotaging grain production and trying to contest control of states in Ukraine, the UPA, Republicans, and Communists will still start with the same amount of troops, equipment and starting states
-They actually went through with removing Burgundian System
-The civil war system for Britain is also just
inheritanly inferior to the old one, you don't even contend states and mainly focus on keeping the political balance(while a civil war is imminent keep in mind)
-as was said eariler nothing ever came for Poland
- new British content obviously isn't even finished and was a submod

How do people even still like this mod? It 's just objectively worse and less interesting than everything Panzer put out

TNO might be the only mod I've ever seen actively try to disassemble itself. Again, I wouldn't mind the reworks if they were somehow complementary to existing content (essentially impossible given the scope and fundamental changes the team wishes to introduce) or capable of matching, if not surpassing, its quality. If one wishes to take, he should see to it that he gives back doubly.

I don't even see what their point is now. With the old TNO versions, it was pulpy and grimdark but still fun to play as a "visual novel in HOI4". Hell, Burgundy was fun precisely because it let you fall down the rabbit hole of just how batshit insane a hermit country run by the SS could become. Now they want to take away one of the defining things of the mod because "ew nahtzees BAD!!!"?

Considering the state of TNO I'm surprised no one has tried to make a fork of it and go off and do their own thing like Kaiserredux did with Kaiserreich.
Every update that guts more content from the mod the we get closer to 2WRW forking off and becoming free of the TNO team's retardation.
