The proxy wars was the one thing I was glad they did and honestly Red Dusk, which I played and many here praise, did exactly what I think TNO should have done. As its very proxy war focused but fun. They even did the idea I had of making the travel instant which can be done in defines. My only thing I would change in TNO and Red Dusk is especially for wars against China and Korea, make it so you can send your entire army as a volunteer force as you get overrunn too quick.
Regardless for TNO I would shrimply cut the stupid extra window for proxy conflict bonuses and autism. Focus more on sending forces to help out. Been working on this for my own submod for TNO.
Its an issue TNO had since Panzer. Panzer like most young white kids, had no real brain devlopment and had the typical teenage polticial ideology (even though I am sure he is a grown man). In that it changes constantly. I think when he made TNO he was a vaushite psuedo-Maoist who only tokenly accepted "American imperialism is kinda less bad then the Nazis." This is also why TNO as a game sucks. It chides you as the U.S for supporting liberal democracies save in the few cases you support wholesome chungus socialists. Basically you actually partaking in the cold war is bad since you are hurting the national sovereignty of other nations.
Part of me thinks why these retards think Gus Hall taking America out of the cold war by gutting the feds is a good thing. Despite these retards letting literal genocidal actual Nazis and Japs run free. The other issue from Panzer era that has continued is the end of history purported by Francis Fukiyama. Where unironically Panzer liked this neo-liberal idea and why it chides you for being a super power trying to stop fascism. Since its thesis is that all bad guy regimes just collapse and cannot sustain itself. Its why in older canon Boreman is the leader and collapses and why Dengist Speer is supposed to be the most evil as he was the only path not a fail state for fascism in Germany. An old post but found when I was curious to see how far commie influence in TNO could go and found this post as the max extent. Even before this, back when KR was the big mod in simpler times one of my friends and I talked about this concept. That commies in HOI4 are the most annoying even beating wehraboos. Since wehraboos at least get mocked and their whole thing is just "German army is cool." Commies however as exemplified here have this whole cockroach theory going on. That no matter how many times you put them down, its simply inevitable they will come back. Despite the fact that as many here pointed out, communism should be a discredited ideology. Not only did Bukharin fuck up with industrializing the Soviet Union leading to the Germans ROFLstomping them into the ground. They tried to fight back only to collapse in on themselves into the warlords you see in TNO. Anyone who would support communism in the TNO timeline should be laughed, mocked, and ridiculed for supporting a failed ideology and experiment. Same issue with how Italy has 6 (formerly 9) communist paths for Red Italy and Maoist thought is all over the place still. Also as a bonus round.
