Because HoI4 is the perfect medium for a friendless, literal incarnation of the Dunning-Kruger effect: a political theorist who thinks he's the smartest and worldly person in a thirty person room, when they aren't even the 29th. And they think they know people and their politics despite the fact their knowledge amounts to at best a Wikipedia article or skimming a hideously biased book, and didn't live through or understand the times and beliefs that formed their subjects better than actual professionals. But no self-respecting intelligent person would give a fifth of a fuck about some shitty overpriced, DLC-bloated map painting sim, so no one will correct them, and even worse, they are surrounded by people exactly like them to reinforce their retardation.

It's just a reference to some punk song, I think that's what they're trying to go for. Cause y'know, epic pop culture reference am I right? Gotta sprinkle in some epic pop culture references so the bugmen playing TNO can care about it.

... Despite the fact that the song was made in 1980. Which is far after the current TNO time frame (1962-1972) so this reference doesn't make any sense.

They already have the Southern Urals reduced to a epic Fallout: New Vegas reference, or WerBell being one giant (and epic!!!) Metal Gear Solid reference.

It's really understated how lazy TNO can get with its usage of pop culture references. Like, a couple in any other mod is cute I guess but with TNO they really take the cake and eat it as if they're Nikado Avocado eating fifty of them. I'm guessing Panzer at some point had a bunch of Funko Pops.

Can't find any ideas for a particular tags' path? Idk make it a Harry Potter reference. Have the evil Fascist/ConDem/NatSoc be Voldemort and the wholesome SocDem path be Harry Potter or some shit (I never read or watched any HP lol).

It kinda creates a chicken and a egg situation, no? Because if the Axis win WW2 and Germany, specifically holds their rule over most of Europe for at least over 20 years (which is the case in TNO), how would there be enough Jews left for a Jewish resistance in the Baltics and other parts of Europe? Doesn't this imply that the Germans haven't committed the holocaust then despite winning Europe and being given pretty much all the time they could ever want to implement it? How would there be enough Jews able to form military resistance when supposedly the Germans should've wiped them out already by the 60s?

Sure the excuse is that Italy, after feeling mad about Atlantropa (which seems kinda contrived and artificial in nature as a conflict, Germany does Atlantropa for literally no reason), decides to harbor Jews from Europe as a way to spite Germany, which is... Somehow still enough to create an Israel in the Middle East? I don't know much about Italy, but even if Mussolini wasn't as antisemitic as Hitler, I'm pretty sure a lot of the other Italian higher ups were and the common citizen definitely wouldn't give a shit about Jews past their borders. Plus I don't think the Italians could literally go out and pluck every single Jew past the Balkans (which they hold a domain over tbh) enough to also create an Israel in-game.

It simply doesn't add up.

The fact that was ever an event confirms my belief that HoI4 users (and reddit lefty types in general) all see people as two dimensional characters good or bad. I wouldn't be surprised if a Civil War mod was ever developed and peoplelike Davis or Lee are all mustache twirling villains torturing blacks in their free time.

I think the Jewish partisans are a leftover from the old lore that said the Hall of Cost was cancelled when the German economy collapsed and they switched from extermination to slavery, also they actually did the Madagascar plan hence Jewish madagascar. According to the new lore not only did it happen but by game start it’s technically still going. And that’s why Jewish madagascar is removed and the Jewish partisans are getting reworked.

It's all extremely unnecessary and literally adds nothing to the game whatsoever. It's just more of Fred's weird Russian collapse/warlord fetish that he likes to wank over, plus none of the factions make sense whatsoever.

Speaking of stupid fantasies, it is dumb of them to basically copy paste Watergate when in their mod Nixon won the 1960 election, meaning he didn't become politically jaded the elite were after him and organized a inner circle for his tricks. Given Kaiserreich’s ‘TNOification’ (as one kiwi aptly puts it), I hold little faith in Kaiserreich giving Savinkov and other ‘right-wing’ paths a fair portrayal.

I have mix feelings, what made Kaisereich Russia interesting was that it was a political simulator. That if Kaiserreich had a theme or a moral at all, if intentional or otherwise, is that History is yours to shape and can go anywhere in any direction. You just need a Kerensky assassination like event to make it so. Very different from TNO original intended moral of the end of history is inevitable. I could understand if this came about from some sort of a agreement from kaiserredux just to make the two mods more distinct from each other, but that is not the case. Ultimatly it feels like Kaiserreich is butchering it's very character of what made it special.

On the other hand, I think Russia starting off as National Populists is a great idea. It might be one of the few alt hist godwin's law scenarios I'll accept. It gives Russia a realistically long enough time to be prepared to fight a world war.(note I've not read the lore but this is how I imagine it could be) I also think that in a world where the white army won the civil war and the central powers won world war I and Russia became a republic after said victory. The Slavic race would in some ways be blamed for world war one (Bulgarian and Polish exceptions do apply). With Russia and Serbia forking the most blame of who started the war in this timeline. Russia would face wiemar conditions both social and economical (though I can't imagine child prostitution and gender research institutions like Germany in our timeline). Butafter several turbulent and challenging political years and campaigns a Far-right movement emerges victorious. I could even see Alexander Kolchak playing the same role Hindenburg played in our timeline. Much of the Russian people wants to rebuild and take revenge against those who have wronged mother russia in the past. It's just that I don't see Savinkov playing this role. He was married to a secular jew and I'll go as far to say the the great terrorist assassin was to moderate to be "Russian Hitler". I know the Kaiserreich team has there reasons but I do think a victorious white russian army would have settle for someone far more in the position to communicate their pain.
We'll call Savinkov's replacement "Russian Hitler". Russian Hitler would still be very different, for one he would not believe in a Aryan master race. Russian Hitler would have blamed the jews for the Bolsheviks and would have saw the Germans as an oppressive people trying to keep the slavs down. Russian would have also been as equally as hateful and fearful of the Japanese and Turks of the Ottoman Empire. Russian Hitler would dare to take leaps in violating treaties in order to rebuild and take as much before the new world war between Germany and the commune of France begins.

Didn't Norway original started off as Rad soc when Kaiserreich first came out or at least one of the early updates then they switch it to monarchy? So have we gone full circle?
