Aryan Brotherhood is getting not exactly cut but its another bit of Panzer TNO kino cut. Having a few or at least one Russian warlord that was pro-German was interesting at the very least. I still hold that each super power should have at least one nation that is a simp for their faction (Japanese Amur, USA Magadan esp under Werbell, and Germans Aryan brotherhood). Though part of me does find it funny that complain about Wagner being an O.C. That's probably true but they'd have to rework everyone in this mod who is basically a parody or Flanderization of their IRL personalities.

Also forgot to add its not the only content having issues.

Also, because I hate myself, I'm gonna be playing the Ordaz content today. You already know how Mexico in TNO is, so it will be mainly just be screenshots of the focus trees and some minmaxing+unique events

I remember this, it's pretty old and was over dev team drama earlier in the year. 4chan speculated that it was because the old team was at odds with the new TNO devs (it happened just as a new lead dev was picked) and because they wanted Sweden to be pro-Pakt from the start like Finland. One of the main announcements in that Reddit post was that Sweden would have no ability to join the Pakt any more and that the tag would be wholesome 100 neutrals, so they probably just didn't want to budge on that or something. And then they deleted everything and had someone else make it from scratch, brilliant. Even better a few months later the 2WRW mod (submod that adds a Russo-German war in the 70s) posted a teaser about how they're making Scandinavian content with the Scandinavians being de facto allies with Germany again made by a new team of devs so they probably just jumped ship.

If you look back to the old leaks from the early days of this thread though you'll see that this is pretty common especially since Panzer's replacements started to shift the mod towards "realism". There are probably close to a hundred leaked proposals that have been axed over the years and most of them over petty reasons and the endless pursuit of realism. Just about everything from before they started to rework America and Germany is gone or slated to be gone, even Burgundy and other old pillars. It's why the current mod doesn't resemble its old self at all any more. I mean, this Serov proposal leaked to 4chan just yesterday about how he'll no longer be a NazBol any more in the name of realism. They're reworking everything.

Its a bit odd as while Sweden was neutral they existed in this quagmire like Ireland and Switzerland that while they were technically neutral they gave support to the Axis. Sweden would have strong ties both economically to the Pakt and Germany and would not be opposed of joining them. Mostly since they are surrounded on all sides. for once their realism is retarded. In a strange way its a case of the monkey's paw curling. You don't know what you have till its gone. Panzer was an idiot and I am not opposed to some of the things being removed like Atlantaropa but there's a certain charm in what he had going for him. That aside TNO is going to become the ship of Theseus with all their reworks getting rid of old shit. As pointed out in the past they will re-work so much stuff they will never make new content.

Semi related but did a TNO Scorza run in TNO as I remember playing one before and can say 100% Italy is one of the best nations if not the best in this mod especially his path. Honestly I think its cause it does a good balance of content and layer choice with very little retarded minigames. I cannot confirm but I think its cause Italy might have been made super early on. for example at the conference you get tooltips telling you if pick choice A or B leads to Cicano or Scorza getting more power. There's no retarded GUI with a balance of power mechanic that you need to constantly have open. Its literally pick these options to get your dude.

Then when he is in power he has a focus tree that fits both TNO while respecting HOI4. Scroza's whole thing is that you decide the future of fascism since Mussolini as great as Il Duce was never really defined fascism since he cowardly gave in to anyone who would give him power. With Scorza you get to pick via your focus tree. Do you want to be feminist and make fascism associated with the feminist movement? Maybe tradcath and make it super catholic based? Capitalist or pro labor unions? How about if its a movement of the youth or of the elders and the old? Or maybe a centrist mix? you can do that. You can even mix and match them you don't need to go all left or all right even.

There's no retarded minigames again of making sure the side you pissed off is happy and needs to be lacated by playing a game of Blackjack. You just go down your focus tree. On top of that even if you lose some colonies like East Africa for example you can take it back. Italian East Africa exploded and the niggers of Ethiopia and Somalia started to chimp out at each other but this was not the end for me. Italy did not get a fail state as I could simply re-invade them.

Even the events are not so bad. Like sure they are still long and we still got a few long ones but how I can tell this was probably made early on even for Panzer days is a lot of the events are more like Kaiserreich ones. They have their long narrative ones but a bulk of them are quick and to the point of how the public reacts to your policies or things going on in your nation. Unironically if the rest of the mod was made ike this I don't think people here would complain as much.

Compare this to my time as America that was stressful. Constantly having to have my CIA gui screen open. Checking in between 6 different minigames. some of them obtuse on what is supposed to be happening even. Basically having to keep it open at all times as its the only form of content you have. I fail to see how this is fun except for actual autists who are autistic enough to spread their attention that thin.

That's definitely something you see a lot in the community these days. Both that their "realism" makes no sense and that people miss the old Panzer-era mentality. Sure, their rework might make sense if you skim Wikipedia (and ignore everything else), but in a world where Germany won WW2? No, of course things would change. Mexico is a better example though as we have a clear example of it in-game Meticulously researched as @Toji Suzuhara documented in his fine screenshot AAR. Problem? It's all in favor of rehashing a Wikipedia article. A Panzer-era Mexico would've been stupid, but there's a 1:1 chance that it would've been more fun than the Mexico we got.

Apparently no one locks documents over there. As someone that follows the TNO drama on 4chan (where a lot of devs post) it's pretty obvious that they have no opsec at all.
Another example from 4chan: the 9th (?) Moskowien proposal. No, that's not a joke number. And yes, they flushed down thousands of hours of work for this. Allegedly, because the old lead got suspended.
People started to talk about a new rework several months ago. Then all of a sudden, someone claiming to be a dev posted it in the thread. So the devs obviously just make their things public and then leave them that way forever since obviously the original author didn't randomly flip and leak it there months after the fact. Funny thing though: you don't see this with any other mods. It's only TNO. Most people would feel bad over leaking something their friends made. That's just basic human decency. TNO though? Yeah no one seems to care. Really goes to show how people feel about each other over there.

They have. I could download a few but I have Peneople's Web on my computer now. I can link the mega link for it again as well. These builds are from 23 but still that's pretty recent.

No kidding. At least Panzer (and even Pacifica to a lesser extent) got results.

Another problem reared itself when the fame and attention went to Panzers head and he encouraged a cult of personality to develop around him, culminating with interviews in which you can audibly hear his cock getting sucked. He also became notorious for banning people that disagreed with him, although the jannies always had the problem of the mod attracting the wrong sorts of people (nazis, commies, other lunatics).

tend to fail since they are trying to remake the game into something its not and sadly this TNOification is getting out of hand and into vanilla too. I do agree with the Grevious poster that a lot of its based on pride in that they think making a minigame is a lot of work and makes them look cool and its hard to get rid of minigames without breaking something.
Hell Kaisserredux incorporates a head of government/head of state UI you can swap between on the UI for countries so you can see Kings and PMs of a given country, while Kaiserreich still doesn't have that. A simple quality of life feature that doesn't really add anything but lets you see the people in charge and they can't be fucked to do that.

Yes, China has been 'first' to a lot of technologies but were always slower to iterate or innovate on them than the people who those technologies were exported to. Fire Lances were just weaponized fire works and the furthest the Chinese built on that were primitive hand cannons before the Portuguese introduced the arquebus.

Instead they try desperately to change a game into something it was never meant to be by either adding tons of code the game can't handle or trying to rewrite the existing code in to something completly else.
The fact that most modders have no idea about what it's like to worki in an actual project over a long period of time, doesn't help either.

Depends on the game and depends on the modders; a lot of modding scenes are amazing and do genuinely remake or push beyond the boundaries of what the game or engine was originally envisioned as handling. Look at Medieval 2 Total War's modding scene: it's a nearly two decade-old game that is currently experiencing a golden age of modding with mechanics and even unit models that put what current day CA is doing to shame. I could give similar appraisals for Civ 4, Empire at War, Sins of a Solar Empire, Europa Universalis IV, and so on. I think the problem is discord, which seems uniquely capable of bringing out the worst in any sort of community and especially in collaborative projects.

Mods used to have to be organized on publicly accessible forums/imageboards that were moderated by third parties, and those elements that were private like skype calls/group chats weren't accessible to the public. A lot of modding projects started adopting or outright switching to Discord around the turn of the decade because it was more convenient and flexible for organization, but also more accessible vis-a-vis mobile and has built-in ways to make organizing mp sessions easier. All of that is a double-edged sword; the people who would have to self-moderate on a forum, no matter how impressive their modding resume is, suddenly get power over who gets to say what and how, easier and more frequent communication mean it's easier for cliques to form and egos to develop or clash, while modding servers doubling as mp servers half the time encourages drama and the sharing of everything, including porn, while distracting from development.
