Congrats on the release!! Let's see what this opens up for the future.

I honestly didn't expect such a positive response, thank you everyone!
Patch 1.0.1 is out. I just made an experimental addition. A few tags can send volunteers to russian and kazakh warlords of your choice.
-USA, Japan, Burgundy, England, Italy, Iberia, and Brittanny can now send volunteers to kazakh and russian unifier tags
-Germany can send volunteers to Finland
-USA can send volunteers to HMMLR england
*Bug Fixes
-Countries should be able to send volunteers now
-Fixed loc typos
@GoodWinSon if you ever need some filler writing for central/western European and Anglo-American content lmk, I might be able to contribute a bit depending on the area of expertise
I'm thinking of starting work on some post 1972 Germany content, so I may have something for you.
Considering it's built from an earlier version of the mod and the mod's creators, there was a missed opportunity to call it something like "The New Order: Original Rise" to have the acronym be an anagram of troon.

Props though, I only have experience modding CK2 when I played it a few years back, but always found Paradox's engine to be quite fickle or at least that version of it at the time.
Damn it. My second name idea after TNO: Kiwi Farms Edition was "The New Order Rolls On". Never considered the anagram.
Did you put this on the Steam Workshop?
You absolute madman, great work. When are you gonna get it up on Steam? Are you gonna try fixing all the major bugs first?
I want to clean up the gui a bit before I post on steam. And I at least want to fix the air equipment and carrier air units.

I'll look forward to the release on Steam. Anyways I've finished a bunch of events for Tyumen, the loc for them is done and I've only got 10-ish events left that i'm leaving for later since they require total rewrites. One thing I noticed is that there's a whole event chain concerning Khrushchev's coup that went unused detailing him recruiting Konev and trying to recruit Kaganoviches brother. They aren't even marked as comments so you can't trigger them in-game, so you can fire them through the console. Anyways, I gotta change some focus and event icons, some GUI effects, maybe remake a few portraits, and find a way to figure out which events fire when to figure out how I should rewrite them.

Coincidentally The New Order Rises again has come out the day before Hermann Göring's birthday.

Let's let the fatman conquer the world again.
I remember how OG TNO's realism focus was mostly extended to the "what ifs" of Germany accomplishing seemingly impossible things. It'd be neat to have post-72 Goering content where his succession doesn't cause a civil war, and you have to deal with the absolute nightmare of trying to retain control over a world spanning empire with a thinly stretched economy, military, and war exhaustion.

I've had some ideas for a bit, if you're curious.

As you probably know, Speer is getting an overhaul by the actual TNO team to be more authentically National Socialist. His base writing sucks right now, his original writers think the word "fuck" is a good way to show impact. But English interviews with the man exist, he was extremely coy and well spoken, so that could use some reworking at some point.

But with his current reformist base, I imagine his content would be focused on sneaky ways to circumvent the Nuremberg Laws being undone, continuing economic development, while also gradually spreading Rosenbergite ideas to the Reich's subjects in Eastern Europe. Much the same as how modern China has Han'ized the many cultures and races of China over the last 50-60 years.

Something I do approve of in the vanilla dev team's plans atm is the gutting of the gang of four from le wholesome democrats to nationalists, monarchists, and capitalists who simply hate the NSDAP. They were all involved in the war in significant capacities, and were usually not fond of Slavs.

Bormann is currently getting an overhaul too, to be more pragmatic and less apeing directly off the USSR. The end of his content in vanilla has him approving a German version of the RBMK reactor and setting the stage for Germnobyl. That might be fun post-72 Bormann content if you have no plans to integrate future Germany updates

Pretty much. I think I said this in the thread but original TNO was kinda like the aftermatch of a Hitler using console commands to win WW2, but then the cheat engine stops working and reality comes crashing down. In that sense the "realism" of the original release and ideas was the deeply unrealistic power block and empires of Japan and Germany collapsing under the weight of reality reasserting itself.

Of course, TrooNoo can't have that. It implies N*zis could ever succeed at something. Gotta scale it back and destroy what made the mod interesting in the first place!

That seems pretty cool. I imagine something similar for conserva-coup, only the government would be much more unsubtle and less interested in peace with US and Japan.

To be up front, I'm rather reluctant to remove paths, even if they're rather silly. I have an outline for post-G4 Germany where bizarre power blocs form and contest elections alongside the NSDAP. A sort of Weimar on crack scenario, only stranger.
Does Russia have warlords that somewhat aligned with the goals of the power blocs?
In theory Amur and the Aryan Brotherhood would be ideological allies, though the Germans would probably consider the latter a mob of loons. Amur is also most closely aligned with Japan. Samara and Vyatka could be counted as potential allies since Germany sponsored their creation.

In practice, all the warlords are gearing up to crew Germany and possibly Japan. Samara and Vyatka slip away, and the Russian Nazis end up not being very friendly. The rest of the warlords are more than ready to gank the Germans. The Japanese would probably do no better. A reunited Russia/USSR would be happy to sweep into Manchuria and Vladivostok, likely in tandem with a dangerous Chinese rebellion.

The US would have its preferences, but they'd probably support anyone since a unified Russia will go after their rivals and do the dirty work for them. Italy would also be happy with an aggressive Russia, since that would damage Germany. (Though realistically they are too isolated from Siberia to do much)

Gameplay wise, I enabled sending volunteers to Russia so tags have something more to do. I may disable it later. You can theoretically screw over the unification process if you find the extremely buffed "chosen one" warlord and kill them early with helicopter infantry.

I only ask because for players who want to commit to the roleplay it might not be obvious which warlord best represents them, maybe add a set of events outlining which warlords would be ideal for the respective power blocs even if they end up opposing them.

Patriot Front praises their appearance in TFR. I'm sure this will be used as fodder for those reddit leftists that hate TFR.

Also in the news for TFR:

A Revolution is coming…
A revolution of the people, and by the people…

We will not stand as the American working class is crushed by the bourgeoisie.

Redneck Revolt content coming in 1.1

First, a massive congratulations on getting the mod up and running, seriously amazing work. Secondly, I can only speak for myself, but the wackier paths were always my favorite aspect of old TNO. Herman’s wild ride was my favorite of the lot, to me there was something very funnier and quintessentially Nazi about Goering saying ‘fuck it, we ball’ and invading literally everyone in Europe without having any real plan about how any of it would work, made for a great campaign.

I thought TFR did a really good job with Patriot Front overall, hell, with just about every faction they covered so far (apart maybe from the NSM, their focus tree feels pretty barren compared to the rest, but that just be because they ate it all)

Honestly the NSM feel like a real anachronism. They're basically Stormfront neo-nazis from the late 90s to the mid 2000s suddenly transplanted to the 2020s.

@GoodWinSon Can you do me a quick favor? There's a series of events in Tyumens files, numbered 124 to 136. They all involve a coup but I'm not sure if they fire in-game at all. I was hoping you'd be able to have a quick look through the events file, since the loc for them is massive and the events would require total rewrites and I wouldn't want that effort going to waste.

Neo-Nazi boomers. Now that is a concept. "Yep. Kids these days just can't fight ZOG like we did back in the day. We had entire mail networks to publish zines out every month and these kids can't handle that (((facebook))) won't let them expose the kikes in public." sips white monster

TYM.124 is triggered by the focus tree. If you take focuses that favor Kruschev's ideas, the coup will fire when you complete the last focus of Tyumen's regional political tree.

In case you did not know trigger = {} never works in events. The event will always be triggered by something in the common folder. Another example of Clausewitz Engine jank.

That settles it then. The only reason I asked is because I used an old submod called Stalinist Tanks when playing Tyumen, except it changed a bunch of shit for Tyumen and mind you this is mid-2022 Tyumen. The fact that the game ran fine with it was a miracle if I'm being honest, but that's good to know. The thing is, there's two events that involve the coup: Tym_khrushchev.1 and Tym.135 I believe. Tym_khrushchev.1 must've been a failsafe since it's the only one I came across in my playthroughs. Regardless, the focus tree modification is basically done at this point, just gotta polish some national spirits, rewrite the coup events, and maybe change all references to Tyumen for all the other Russian warlords. I say maybe, because I'm not gonna sift around every loc file for the what, 30, 20 Russian tags that have content? Anyways, give me a week or two and the mod will hopefully be finished.
