racing games - no not racist games you fucking ni

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
This one and Nascar Thunder 2004 had some really fun career modes. Nascar with the "build up your team from the ground" is still great, even if Nascar is boring as hell.
There's one NASCAR game I remember with the song Sweet Home Alabama. All I remember is fooling around with the car creator. I think it was NASCAR Thunder 2003 or 2004?

Leaked prototype footage has come out of a cancelled Ridge Racer 8 game, that would have released on the Nintendo Switch:

Feel like shit. Just want her back.

Probably depends on the pedals but I got cheaper logitech driving force set and I just wear flip flops or nothing.
I have the DF GT; I find that I get more consistent throttle control in sneakers, but I play barefoot for comfort

Do you guys wear shoes when using racing wheels/pedals?
A pair of espadrilles that I used to use as summer slippers. I would go barefoot but after a couple hours heel&toe I’d soon regret it. That’s with Thrustmaster pedals.

:I don't believe you gif:

why would you leave a 6 figure aerospace engineering job to be a community manager for a dumpster fire like TDU SC?
unless you're not actually an engineer.....

H'es probably a diversity hire, which makes this even dumber. Imagine not having to do much and still earning the paycheck of a proper engineer, only to quit your job so you can shill a game nobody likes and nobody plays. Almost as stupid as destroying your whole reputation to shill a game with a sex scene between two 15 year old boys, then dying on the hill that the game is not "woke".

Ubisoft posted an update about The Crew 2's upcoming Offline Mode, saying that they are aiming to release it in late 2025, and internal invite-only testing is expected to start next month:

The lack of news about Motofest's Offline Mode most likely means that it will not be added until years later, when Motorfest reaches EoL.

Michael Bay and Sydney Sweeney will be working on an OutRun movie.

I want to ask the obvious: why couldn't that be included from the beginning? I'm guessing Ubisoft wants to avoid MORE backlash from The Crew 1, not because it's the right thing to do.

They never intended to make the game playable offline, Ross Scott forced their hand. Shame that he wasn't able to do anything about Crew 1, I wanted to play that game at some point.

Yeah I still have The Crew 1 in my steam account. I don't know how much man hours it would really take to add an offline mode but I can't imagine it would be too much. If they're going to do it for the second one they should've done it for the first too. They got a lawsuit in the UK after they shut it down.

I still have DiRT 3 on steam and love it, but these days have a hankering for engineering games. There's something deeply satisfying about building a car in stormwanks or garrymode and after all your legit tuning and design it finally just works.
I do wish there were some engineering games about building cars from basic blocks. Not like My Summer Car or Automation, just something that really is gmod but car-centric and models stuff like aerodynamics and friction/traction a little bit better. Or even just Geometa fixing some of the more bonkers design decisions towards land vehicles in their game.
