Ralphabankruptcy Arc - "Where'd all the money go?"

So Ralph is declared a broke ass nigga by NYC what exactly happens to child support? Is it postponed or something?

This is all very :optimistic:, because Ralph is basically untouchable in Mexico. Nissan will probably be able to take the truck, and the county/city will seize the crackshack, but he has a Mexican license, lives in Mexico, and credit card companies don't care about debt until it's 6 figures, you can unironically just flip them the bird and all they can do is shut down your card. Oh, and no more child support payments.
The worst that could happen to Ralph is Nissan repoing his truck and him finally ending up on that (super cool) motorcycle we've all been rooting for him to get.

I doubt he will be able to plead poverty to the NY family courts because Pantsu has his financial info and earnings for two years and proof of the lengths he goes to try and hide it. Ironically Pantsu was his main method for trying to hide taxable income until last year.

I have seen legitimate jobless crackheads ordered to pay $50 a month. They will order a token payment order for even truly dead broke homeless dudes camping downtown. But no judge is going to believe Ralph is broke, even if he actually is, because of his history of trying to hide his income (from taxes, from debtors, etc..) and fleeing to Mexico. Also judge’s have no sympathy for a father who’s “broke” because he spent all his money on vices, just ask Lowtax.

If Ralph keeps going like this, once the monopoly money runs out he won't be able to afford a shotgun and he's too fat for a rope.
So, it's either self-immolation or pills.
Ralph, don't be a bitch ass nigga and go out like a man! Booze and pills are a woman's game.

Declaring bankruptcy isn’t the end many think it is. All it really does as far as I know is allow your debt to become more manageable when you can’t manage shit.
For a normal person, that is true. However, our gunted friend is a renter and is constantly in debt because he doesn't earn enough to cover his impulsive spending. He could quickly graduate to full on pan-handling-on-the-corner-and-sleeping-in-a-cardboard-box homelessness if he was unable to rent or borrow money.

His passport can get yoinked for non-payment of support and that’s a major problem. It would be easier for him to not pay in the USA and only risk some wrist slapping.

The game most dead beats play is making a token ($10, hell I’ve heard of .36 payments) and resetting the court penalty clock. The men who get hit hard by child support orders are ones on payroll where the money is deducted right out of their paychecks, Ralph doesn’t have that problem. He could pay whatever he feels like. He’s already playing the game with Vickers by making token payments.

In the USA he could make BS token payments for years without repercussions but CA has an agreement with Mexico that if the amount exceeds $2500 (or thereabouts) his passport gets flagged. The one thing you need above all else to live as an expat is a valid passport. Mexico is actually a terrible choice for trying to dodge child support payments if you have a kid in California. He’s better off in the USA.

I don’t think Ralph’s main motivation for fleeing to Mexico was the child support issue anyway, but his pile of debts, unpaid taxes and his untouchable status within the legitimate American financial sector thanks to his white trash ways. Just like Ralph has burned bridges with everyone in the sector he also burned his credit score/ financial viability to the ground with short sighted shit like “I gonna get me a play station CC, max it out and not pay it lol”. I’d guarantee Ralph tried to do this with as many CC as he could thinking it was a great idea since he’s never coming back to the USA! He’s truly a grade A retard.

It was also suggested that he was being sued by the guy/insurance company that he crashed into, when he wrote off his GuntStream Car, so was looking to avoid being served on that.

I was about to write a comment about how I don't understand why Ralph is in such dire financial straits, but then I started crunching some numbers...

He's earning like $150-200 a stream, maybe hitting $250 on occassion. With whatever take his revenue streams around taking, lets assume that's what - $3000 a month, lets say in the range of $3000-3500. Point is, he earns a varied amount, and it is not going to be far above 4k on a good month these days.

Faith is getting $800 a month. Is he even paying for Rozy at this point?
His car is what like $700 or something insane.
Someone identified what place he was living in, but I can't remember where it was exactly - similar looking Merida rentals online are $500. Add another $150 for utilities and taxes.

I guess the unknown is other debt, but given he has a PLAYSTATION CREDIT CARD I am going to go out on a limb and say the interest on these things are not an insignificant part of his income. For instance, his Alienware Laptops will likely of been financed on Dell Credit. Since Ralph is a complete RETARD, he probably saw their promotional offer which allows you to take an interest free loan on any of their products above $799. As long as it is paid off within that period you pay no interest, if you don't pay it off they retrospectively apply the 30.99% APR. So if he owes Dell 6k, he is going to be accruing $150 a month in interest. Perhaps more.

God knows what other debt he has, no doubt he has ran with similar deals and been consistently burnt. I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't over 1k a month. He already had the fucking Power Chat loan.

That's before we even talk about him eating, drinking, any drugs he wants to consume or gas money. Phone and gambling bills. Add a Re-Roll Rozy downpayment and he would most likely be completely fucked.

There are some large error bars here, but I think given he was screaming about how $20k would change his life (LOL) things are not looking too hot right now.

How does that affect him in Mexico?

I suppose sooner or later he will have to renew it, but will he be flagged at borders if say he tries now to flee to another South or central American country?
Airports certainly have the tech to detect an invalid or flagged passport, but what about seaports or plain just old fashioned driving across a border?

Would Brazil or Argentina be viable hidey holes for him or am I being to optimistic about his capabilities?

Other than crossing borders, what does he need his passport for? Does he need to periodically renew a visa or something?

When you are a non-citizen in a country you need your passport for anything that requires your identity be verified. Think of it like your driver license in the USA.

Now Ralph got himself a little Mexican ID card that is useful for some things, but stuff like apt rentals, hotels, utilities, any domestic travel, etc… will still want his passport. He also needs to keep his passport valid to ensure he can keep his Mexican visa/residency valid, that all depends on his passport. An extra problem for the Gunt is he has to cross a border to register that truck every six months, which requires a passport and yes they check your passport at every border, whether you fly, drive, walk or sail. It’s no joke.

Best case scenario is Gunt could have his passport flagged for non-payment and have six months of no problems. But the minute he needed to renew his truck, take a flight, move to a new rental, deal with Mexican govt bureaucracy etc…he’s fucked.
It was also suggested that he was being sued by the guy/insurance company that he crashed into, when he wrote off his GuntStream Car, so was looking to avoid being served on that.
The lawsuit definitely triggered his panicked run for the border, which is hilarious. All Ralph’s bragging about being “lawsuit proof” (because he’s a no asset having white trash) and he immediately shits his pants in the face of a Mickey Mouse ambulance chaser suit. There was absolutely nothing for Ralph to worry about. The minute they would have gotten a look at Ralph’s finances the lawyer would have fucked off.

He was only fishing to find out if Ralph might have some other insurance policies or some hidden deep pockets. Lmao. All Ralph had to do was cooperate in good faith and it would have been quickly dropped. The lawyer wasn’t going to care about pawpaws ring, a few thousand dollars and grease stained Alienware computer which is all Gunt has got. But Gunt’s panicked run from the USA over a civil summons is peak Gunt brain. (He definitely fantasized about moving to Mexico before but that lawsuit made him jump to it with little planning or prep.)

Ralph is in a better sitution than most here are willing to admit.

There is no grounds to revoke his passport for child support. The State Dept. can refuse to renew said passport, and to not return said passport if he surrenders it, for example, to get additional pages. However, so long as the passport is out in the wild, he is in the clear. He also renewed his passport recently, so it will be at least 9 years until this enters the equation.

Let us assume that this changes and somehow the passport is void. He still has his canje and also has a Mexican driver's license to get by.

He can likely use Chapter 7 to get out from under the debt and keep everything except the truck. I would say that he is elgible under the Virginia exemptions which have $10K "tools of the trade" and a $10K "wildcard" to play with. If he continues making token payments to stave off child support delinquency, he should be able to muster the lump sum needed to move himself and his cats to South America and extracate himself from any agreement the state of California has with Mexico.
