This severely limits the amount of welfare Gunt could conceivably receive. He can’t get Section 8 housing, and can’t even stay in another person’s Section 8 housing. I believe he could still get some food stamps/EBT in some states but the felony makes it harder to get and again. Gunt would have to be smart enough to figure out the application.

Sober living homes aren't free. In fact, they encourage you to find work while you live there in order to offset rent costs.

Honestly, I doubt Evan even knows what day it is - never mind caring about property he inherited.

If I'm wrong and he's just physically disabled, Ralph abandoning his disabled brother is just another layer of disgusting behaviour.

Supposedly, he has cerebral palsy. However, Ralph said this during one of his Xanny binges. He said nothing is wrong with his mind, he's only physically disabled as he has cerebral palsy. Either way it's pretty fucked. I can't imagine just acting like my brother doesn't exist and letting him live in isolation being cared for by strangers.

I, for one, would be extremely owned if Ralph crossed cartel territory, central America, crossed the Darien Gap (by car, not boat), and through South America documenting the entire trip with a live stream

Keep in mind that the $494/mo figure is for the entire country. Costs in the pinche gringo containment zones of Palermo and Belgrano are higher - maybe $1200/mo - but you get what you pay for in terms of accommodation and English comprehension.

The most important variable for him at this moment is the option to default on child support without jeopardising his freedom, for example, via a certain bilateral agreement that California has with Mexico. There is no way that he can continue to pay that in his current financial situation much less his future one.
