Without Sonic, we could have potentially had a timeline where CWC's comic was about a cross between Pikachu and the American Rabbit.

Because the Dreamcast already had a Hyperdimension Neptunia Goddess character attached to it. Remember? It was the one Chris claimed went into his body when he touched his Dreamcast and got shocked.
And Chris having his ego, he just had to be a Goddess himself, so he went with one console that’s not already taken and he has some emotional attachment to.

I do wonder how Chris feels about Emulators and ROMs. He'd probably say how they aren't authentic and only steal from the companies but more importantly him and the other CPU goddesses, until he's confronted with how companies use the same emulators available to the public in their products.
