Chris, as an assepshunal indabiduwo, puts much stock in names he randomly creates or is granted and treats them as being equal to and/or part of his actual name. This is why he changed his name from Christopher to Christian because an animatronic bear told him so. This is why he used his Spanish class name 'Ricardo' as part of his real name on every piece of work he turned in during high school rather than just in the context of Spanish class. Chris Chan and Christine are just other examples of that. His full name at this point is basically Christine Christopher Christian "Ricardo" "Chris-Chan" Sonichu Night Star Weston Chandler. And hell I'm probably forgetting a few.

I love how when he made that documentary Everytime he approached a villager they ran back inside, even in his escapes from reality Chris frightens most people away from himYep and the animals he created on Animal Crossing were god awful! Let's just hope that he doesn't get into Animal Crossing again, I'd hate to see CWC breed more ugly looking creatures.

Not sure if he played the others, but his video of his City Folk world was featured in Nintendo Power. He had clearly no-lifed the game a while because he had about every item he could.

I love how Chris has no social life yet almost every game that took over his life (LittleBigPlanet, Animal Crossing, etc) is centered around playing with friends.
I played the fuck out of New Leaf when all my buddies were local but after most of us moved for school/new jobs/relationships I lost interest. Why bother min/maxing your town if you can’t show it off to people?

Not going to lie, I'm enjoying it now too. Especially because Chris is making it clear he doesn't like how the current plot is going. If Ben buckles down and draws another 9/11 or something, there might be gold here.

Some time ago I noticed that Chris doesn't really seem to understand what "humbled" means, moreover, it looks like he got it backwards.
Not only that, after 100% one of those games he makes another save under Barb's name and begins again. He goes as far as to purchase multiple nintendo handhelds and copies of the same pokemon game so he can trade with himself, which is as autistic as it is sad.

It was never meant to be a pun nor a Japanese honorific, it was just a shorthand for Chris(tian) Chan(dler). Sarah Hammer and Wes Iseli got a similar treatment early in Sonichu.

Back when he was first discovered I always assumed it was because attention whores/e-girls on late-2000s 4chan often got the “-Chan” suffix (Cracky-Chan, etc) so calling him that was another way of mocking him.
