I honestly just think it's a change in focus.

I mean god forbid I give chris the benefit of the doubt. but I get the sense that modern chris is quite a bit better in many ways. I'd hazard a guess that he in fact is the one that does what little work that gets done in the house. Handles his real life stuff. doesn't shit himself anymore, isn't on a constant active quest to molest and roofie the nearest woman to him, isn't in fact a 'full troon' (I don't think he's ever going to take his trans stuff further, he already see's himself as a supermodel) his weird godess stuff is just his autism, just the modern incarnation of some autismo thinking he is a super saiyan or some weeb stuff. and that most of the really weird fantasies he has (The merge) Are just kindof him living a fantasy, and he's slightly more clued in onto his powers not being real then we are lead to believe.

Unfortunately as we all age our own bodies start a slow decaying process. Chris was never "fully developed" to begin with, so I think that no matter what, trolling or not, Chris would be at this point regardless. It's just that the trolling added "form" to his spiral into insanity. If not for trolls he would just probably imagine that he's still the God-Mayor of CWCville and is married to Megan or something.

It's a shame Chris never read the Neverending Story, it pretty much describes his entire sitation, the first half of the book (The part which is in the film) shows the positive aspects of imagination and story creation and the second part is about what happens when you spend too long living in an escapist fantasy world.

(Spoilers in case anyone wants to read the book):
Bastian is told early on he can wish for whatever he wants with the Auryn although unbeknownst to him doing so causing him to forget his real self (Like wishing to be strong and fit makes him forget he was ever weak and fat) and with every wish he becomes increasingly arrogant, isolated and delusional which makes it harder to return back into the real world since he barely remembers who he was before.

Fuck the "comics", the pages he done recently were just wall of text indistinguishable from his twitter anyway. Chris should become an e-girl. A cosplay thot like Momokun. Start an instagram career and post lots of ahegao selfies, then start selling nudes, private snapchat etc. Maybe selling his used panties too. He has all the potential to become the next Belle Delphine.
