I think I know why Darkwing Duck being demoted to simply being an in-show cartoon in the new Ducktales is rustling Chris's jimmies.

Its because of his whole "Cartoons really exist in another dimension" mindset. He thinks that the Darkwing Duck parallel in his mind wouldn't want something like that to happen.

That being said, Chris is a moron who takes cartoons too literally and because of that, he doesn't see why its totally fitting for Darkwing Duck to be a "Show within a show" now. In the original cartoon, the whole point was that Darkwing Duck was arrogant, full of himself, and didn't even have super powers, yet he thought he was the shit and the city couldn't sleep without him. That totally sounds like someone who wishes he could have his own Tv show.
It is simpler than that. Chris has an idealized version of the IP that fits into his world. He dislikes the new Ducktales (which is a kids show for actual kids, not loser fat losers who watch kids shows instead of working) because it changes the property to make it clash with his imaginary world. It the same reason he hated blue arms or whatever that was about. The new Ducktales strongs up the lady character because girls rule or something. Chris should love that. The caring nanny is now a strong martial arts "c-word" or something. Feminism wins!

Chris accepts changes that he likes. He even makes them in his "creations". He loves stealing. He loves retconning to fit his current psychic link cartoon dimension world. I am sure he would have no trouble with a Ducktales where the kids became lesbian transgender nieces who get all the pony pussy they can handle even if that kills off Huey, Dewey, and Louie.

Assuming you're talking about the thing that Mimms mentioned, some regular named TJ (who was actually good at card games) told Chris he was never gonna get laid and Chris yelled "I'm gonna smack your effin face down" or something and when TJ stood up Chris said "I meant your face down monster" and backed down to avoid a literal game of Kick the Autistic.

Yes, thats the confrontation I'm talking about!!! When I first read that, I think I was drinking coffee, and I remember laughing so hard that I ended up with hot coffee shooting up and out my nose onto my pants. Jesus Christ, Chris would've gotten his ass kicked and I don't think anyone there would've tried to help him.

I never really thought about it but does Chris only really enjoy the reboots of childrens cartoons that were popular when he was younger (I say younger in a loose sense like teens - late 20s) ?

Most autistic people that watch cartoons seem to like watching the newer shows as well as the old series reboots.

(Off topic: Tbh I understand the change, I don't think many kids even back then liked the "Hey Uncle Scwooge" Webby character)

I think that would have hopefully sunk into his head to not be so annoying. Some people need a boot up their ass to learn how to behave. Chris is squarely in that category.

I remember a handful of episodes of Ducktales. The premise wasn't bad but it was a fairly forgettable show to me. I preferred Chip N Dale's, TailSpin, and Darkwing Duck to it. Funny enough the reboot(?) they did of Ducktales in the mid to late 90's where they replaced Scrooge with Donald and made the boys into teenagers was a pretty good show from what I can remember. Donald was working at a news station and so was his girlfriend and it was split into two 11 minute segments for the show. One of the best ones was Donald explaining to Kent Powers (the Man of the Hour) why he was late with this crazy story involving aliens invading and all kinds of shennigans, only for Daisy to show up at the end and explain it's Daylights Savings and Donald isn't late.

It had a more sitcom feel to it and it was clear they were going for a slightly older audience. They also took a page from Animaniacs and had the episodes not be connected so they could play with different things. I thought it worked.

Why people get so upset about a cartoon is a little odd. But then again we're talking about a guy who tarded out over blue arms. It's still hilarious how Sonic showcased an obvious Chris Chan character on their show.

"Step over this line and say that... I'll kick your butt! At Nintendo."

WTF.

'Also, I want to make a request for anyone who is willing to volunteer their craft services: I would simply love a 6” or 12” plush of Nightstar and one of Kun. As long as they look very good and huggable, like the custom plushies typically do, I will be very happy. Thank You! '

Nah just a toy for himself.

Although he'll probably want the ones with the 'pocket'

Ah Quack Pack was awesome, but only for its time in 1996. It was really silly seeing it at first since Ducktales 1987 was at the time commonly found in reruns if you knew where to look.

But I literally thought Hewey, Dewey, and Louie were entirely different characters for some reason.

The only episode I can remember good is that one where they invent this green shit called "Tasty Paste" and end up as corrupt business men.

God, Chris is such a lazy ass.

I take it CWC has never heard of mechanical pencils. Or would popping in new leads be too time consuming for him?
Probably break the thin leads trying to stick 'em in one.

Does Chris not know that you can still ink over a pencil outline? Or make a sketch by going light on a ballpoint pen?
Using a blue lead pencil also helps if you wanted to photocopy/scan your work after you ink it.

He's probably considering either as too much work. Best to get everything done in one shot and mistakes, be damned.
Even if it doesn't win him much favors anyway. I only he he did lightly put down construction lines/shapes to start with. It's not that hard to draw Sonic given how simplistic those bodies are (heads especially, just a circle and two lines to get the eyes and nose centered properly).

He might know but alas, this is Chris we're talking about. The guy is LAZY as all hell and it's not interested in growing up, ever, in any way.
It's sad in some way.

So this artist who Chris respects greatly comes to him with advice to improve his art - but Chris is so lazy to fix his mistakes and clean up pencil sharpenings that he won't even try it.
Makes me wonder how much he hated art class if he was told to clean up afterwards?

I imagine Chris is glad that his made-up CPU goddess religion doesn't consider sloth one of the 7 deadly sins...
I bet.

Chris has said so many times that he wants to find a girl that he can build into a sweetheart from the ground up through friendship first.

But all his characters instantly fall in love. They aren’t even friends. They just go straight to love without doing any of the friendship “work”.
A lot of wish fulfillment Chris will never see in his life.

The show's actually pretty good.
Honestly, with how much he deep throats mlp, I would have thought he would have been all over this.
... But of all things, it's minor shit like killing off the butler and making Darkwing Duck a tv icon that ruins it for him?
It is really dumb excuses to hate on this show, I think what it did with the nephews was perfect in fleshing out those guys and making Darkwing an actor was a clever bit of in-universe fun for the duck (puts Jim Cummings in a nice Adam West-ish role).

It would not suprise me if later on it would turn out darkwng duck is a real thing in the show or the actor picked up the crime fighting after his show got canceled.
Would make for a cool, natural progression for that character.

Well, at least we know Chris isn't "turned on" by DuckTales. :tomgirl:
Probably for the best we don't have to deal with ducks already polutting our comic that was meant to be about electric hedgehog pokemon. Thank goodness Chris wasn't a Carl Barks fan.

Also, doesn't he have a long-standing hatred of reboots thanks to :autism: and his belief that cartoon characters are "real?" Or is that mostly an exaggeration?
It's all real!

Well, MLP is a reboot itself I think. He is mostly ok with reboots as long as his autism doesnt latch onto some random detSONIC ARMS ARE NOT BLUE!!!.
At least we don't have a "Donald's Shirt is NOT BLACK!" going on.

I think that would have hopefully sunk into his head to not be so annoying. Some people need a boot up their ass to learn how to behave. Chris is squarely in that category.
He certainly needs it.

I never saw Quack Pack much at all, but recall the kids feeling different, and it was an early attempt and fleshing out the nephews' personalities that weren't there previous.
