The hoard has some seriously strange items in it..

eBay description:

"Another piece from our collection of knick knacks: a Mirror Ball, complete with functioning and working motor with power cord and two ceiling-hanging screws. Makes for a good light display with a light shining off of it at any party or bar."

He more than likely hasn't thought of it, but I kind of wonder what Chris would say if someone asked why, if CWC Psychlight--Night Star, too, in MLP--exists in a DC comics dimension, why they've never appeared in any comics, movies, video games, etc. If he had time to think, he'd probably decide that our comics and stuff are from a slightly different dimension, but that would still create some logistical errors (not that those kinds of things have stopped Chris before).

I don't think that he really believes this stuff--I sincerely doubt he's actually seeing or talking to Magi-chan, etc. I think that he wants it to be real, though, and he thinks it's possible for it to be real. Chris has a history of using magical thinking in order to overcome enemies, feel important, etc, like when he cursed Mary Lee Walsh, for example. IIRC, a few years ago (before he was so invested in this, but after he had the "toon town dimension" idea), when he first made his amiibos, he would set them up on the AI players on Super Smash Bros. or Mario Kart in order to "play" with Sonichu and friends.

EDIT: Perhaps "believe" wasn't the best word (which is why I italicized it). It's like, he doesn't believe it in the same way that he believes that the sky is blue and trees have leaves; he can go outside and see that. It's not the same as believing he cursed Mary Lee Walsh, as he had "evidence" that his curse worked in her "reputation going down." It's not even the same as a religion, as they involve communities, etc, assuring people that whatever they worship is there, even though they can't see it. That's actually why I think he's so desperate for someone else to validate his beliefs, especially people he perceives as "creators/chroniclers" like himself.

I think he does believe it. He wouldn’t have gone to the dangerous extremes he went through to protect it if he thought it was fake.

Chris doesn’t talk to his therapist about this stuff, probably for a few reasons. He’s been told not to, for one, but he also probably thinks they will say he’s crazy. Which they might. But Chris would think them saying he’s crazy is them just not believing or understanding.

Chris believes this shit is true because of autism and poor parenting. And if you asked him about any inconsistencies, he’d blow it off. We don’t all know exactly how the internet runs... but we use it and know it exhists. For Chris, it’s the same. He doesn’t know how this shit works, but he believes it does.

Remember, this is the guy that believes Santa was real until he was 20-something. He thinks he can change his body and mind with subliminal messages on YouTube. He has done and has believed many crazy things. This is just another one.

It's the state that metropolis is in in the comic books. He either looked that up or somebody fed that to him.

I don't think it is but it's the first result google gives so Chris will believe it. Neither one is given a state anymore but Gotham is pretty much treated as New York City while Metropolis seems to be able to flip from a Chicago-vibe to... a happier version of New York City. It's a Springfield situation and the only concrete thing in the comics is they're close to one another and on the east coast.

Nah, he'd probably say they were busy doing important stuff out of the focus of the story. Psychlight has her own villains to stop, after all, and the fact that you never see Batman fighting Psychlight's villains must be proof she's busy keeping those villains at bay all by herself, mmmk?

“psych” being the operative word here. He’s basically combined Pyro and Jean Grey with blue hair and dumped them both in the DC verse. Who else but Chris and every 13-year-old tumblrista who watches “Gotham” and “Teen Titans”. If you can’t actually get a spot on a team that has Aquaman and the Wonder Twins as full members, you’re going to spend a lot of time sitting on the Justice League bench.
