How do people even find the Crazy Pacer?

I've always wondered that.

There must be millions of blogs.
That was just it, it wasn't a high traffic thing. It was just some random person coming across Chris in the wild. His stupid comics were one thing, that could have eventually gotten stale, but it was his real life antics that morphed all together into the perfect storm. IIRC, Chris's comics and things were known to a small degree leading in the time leading up to the ED article.

It was one of the earlier examples of something "going viral."

It had lain in obscurity from 2005 to around 2008 when Chris finally found it because of the ED article on him (and of course had an epic chimpout about it), and very soon, if you were on any major Internet site from 4chan to PoE to Something Awful, you'd be seeing Chris-related memes and media and eventually find your way to the ED article.

I think Chris got big on the Internet on the Internet on October 27, 2007 when he was discovered by some Something Awful Forums goon at the Alderman Library. That wasn't the day he hatched from his egg, he had been active online for a few years prior, getting into trouble with Encyclopedia Dramatica and whatnot. He'd made pokemon and Sonichu pages and blog posts, and had spent several years pestering people with his love quest. He was just some horny weirdo, occasionally mentioned online or banned from a store or website.

It would be only two weeks later that Chris would draw She Came for CWC.

Luckily Anna's blog page was archived, she didn't write Chris' name when she told the story of their meeting but she referred to him as "Sonichu" (at the end Chris gave her his business card with his OC and website on it). So a google search back then would have easily made it come up, especially if they restricted it to pre-2007. At the beginning some wondered if it was all just an elaborate trolling and this blog post from a independent source in 2005 was proof that it wasn't.

so
are we ever going to learn of "Creepy Molester Dude"?

Chris has entered another contest. He actually put some effort into the drawing.

chris' art is actually improving
it's not highly noticeable when you take into account over how long of a period it happened, but it improved a lot since we first found him and it keeps going
his art is the definition of "slow and steady" he may not be the fastest but we'd all be lying if we said we don't see a difference
i wonder to what extent it's because he can't learn, and to what extent is it rather the fact that he just isn't trying very hard, drawing seems like a past time to him and not a hobby or a skill he wants to facilitate, i wonder if it was truly his autistic interest, would he be much better at it, or is there something cognitive that's preventing him from grasping it

do we have any drawings he has made from before high school? usually people who dedicate their whole life to art start very early on

I was googling what "youtooz" are (it seems they make collectible toys Funko Pop's style, minus the soulless black eyes) and I incidentally found out what Chris copied to make his drawing lol

Also it's interesting that he does not have the xitter blue checkmark anymore. I was sure he was going to keep paying Musk every month for the vanity mark even while ranting against him so yeah, kudos to Chris (even if he does keep using xitter). Or maybe money is getting tight.

I haven't seen any except for school projects. It seemed like "being an artist" never came about until he pulled Sonichu out of his ass.

This was one of his first drawings of Sonichu, from 2000, so Chris would have been 18. It's exceptionally bad art wise and is a good indication that Chris never really did any character art prior to this. It seems like Chris "being an artist" only started from that project, the subsequent asspats for being so "creative" and just some comics afterwards.

As for Chris dedicating his life to art, I think it's a lot more mundane. Sonichu was the only thing that Chris put any creativity into. If anything, he's dedicated his life to mediocrity.

...and there it is. Whenever Chris posts a piece of art that actually looks half decent, it's pretty much a given he traced it or else worked hard to copy another piece of art.

Okay never mind someone else explained it.

Like I said, this is something I had been puzzling over for years. ED was the king of my internet entertainment back in the day.
