Here’s something I’ve been wondering about.

Barb and Bob both seemed to believe that Chris actually HAD some legitimate fans, and that his comic wasn’t a total clusterfuck.

Leaving Barb and her demented hoard-brain out of it, Bob was a pretty intelligent dude.

How the fuck could he believe that Chris's Sonichu isn’t objectively and in every sense of the word absolute total garbage?

Like, I get that Bob didn’t know a whole lot about neither comics nor pop culture.

But disregarding that... How could a reasonably intelligent man with some worldly experience look at Sonichu and say: “Hmm, yeah... This looks like something that would attract actual fans!”

I think he was just old and out of touch.

He's tried it several times before now, and yeah, he was ridiculously lazy about it and generally turned out a substandard product. He first took paid requests back in 2016 and churned out a bunch of videos, about half of which were weens getting him to give shout-outs to mass shooters or reading copypastas. At some point, though, either people stopped paying him or he just got too lazy to keep up with requests, so he stopped for a while. As you mentioned, he then added them as a reward on Patreon. You had to pledge at least $50 to get a video, and they were again half-assed efforts at best.

Also there was the one video where the camera flipped upside down, showed up his skirt and revealed that he was wearing a pad :O

If Chris was so distraught at the idea of having to kill off Simonla, then why did she "die" in the most undignified manner possible? She could have been killed while fighting off the asperpedia four, or have been poisoned. Instead, she gets taken out by a voltorb while she's taking a piss-which sounds like a joke, and considering how serious chris takes this, you'd think he would take his character's death more seriously (it's more serious to him than actual people dying, after all).

@Crustyguy, if I recall correctly from Knudsen’s documentary, the plot of the Sonichu episodes are often all over the place, which probably explains Chris missing out on better options to gracefully retire Simonla.

It is like when one always go all-in on the first idea that come into their mind, which is not always the best idea. For example, in Sonichu 7, Episode 15, couldn't the Sammy sketch be its own story, while the story could have more been about basketball? But then again, it would still be awful confusing to make any reader stressed out of confusion.

In an Alec Benson Leary call, Alec asked him to kill her off in a super bloody way to please the readers. Thought the bathroom part is still weird.

Chris: That will happen, yes.

Alec: Okay. Um, I suggest fire. I think that's always a good way to go to deal with characters that you want to get rid of. It's just, it's very visually, y'know, draws people in. Everybody loves fire. Sometimes I light people on fire in my comic, and every time I do, I get ALL this fanmail, just praising that one panel or that one page.

Chris: Yeah.. well, I will think of tha- I will think of something. I will think about it. Alright...

The trolls behind Blanca Weiss (more specifically Ickeriss) were part of the Fried Chicken Trolling Crew (FCTC or Foocy Toocy) and got them associated with bent ducks after posting leaked pictures of them plastered with their group logo. This actually caused their group to crumble completely as many observers were not amused. Read more about their fails.

There is also Braveryjerk and their failed attempts in interviewing Chris.

There’s probably no records of it now but I liked the ween who hung out in CWC imageboards back before Kiwifarms was a thing who had the idea of tricking Chris into being able to regularly monitor him by setting up a fake IT business and hiring him and instead of it just being a random thought kept insisting it was a plan he had in motion and acted like he was some kind of mastermind troll.

(Though granted, it would have been lulzy to see Chris interact with an authority figure/boss.)

Would love to hear some other brilliant trolling plans from this genius: Help Chris clean his house? Buy him a shitton of videogames to see what he plays?
