I think A-Log is a good example of someone similar to Chris who went to a specialist school, at the very least it might have helped Chris be more social in an appropriate way and they’d probably have not let him off with as much (Like sleeping in class).

They wanted a reaction from Chris that ended up in a positive change for his life.

They taunted him with retarded stuff because he set himself up for it (the Julay saga, the Miyamoto Saga, the Ivy saga), but it was mainly harmless trolling that, if Chris were smart, he could use that to realize his lifestyle was shit and should change it (especially after The Father Call).

Trolls nowadays want to kill/maim/psychological torture Chris. Their agenda is extremely hurtful and indecent.

And here is Chris today. Without any inkling of change, except outward appearance. From the looks of it, Chris didn't need the trolls to maim him; most of the stuff he really gets in trouble for is things that he's done himself (ex: taint wound, pepper spraying Gamestop employee if we're counting those).

You're both right. The idea of trolling, not just in the classic Chris era, but, in general, is to taunt someone with something you know they should be able to do but will never do it. It's the same idea as a bully holding something out of reach of someone shorter than them. Yeah, Clyde wanted Chris to clean his room, but only because he knew he wouldn't do it, not because he actually hoped or even expected Chris to put in any effort. It's salting the meat, they wanted to laugh at him not for only being pathetic but for being demonstrably pathetic.
