Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

This would be so awesome if it's real!
I told my friend who's currently deployed in Afghanistan about Chris's support for repealing DADT "so the homos can go die in explosions." She asked me to send her links to the Sonichu comics. She immediately took to them, for god knows what reason.

Which is the hallmark of an unhealthy relationship. I know some people have talked about him snuggling with his mom, and while people have debated as to how incestuous their relationship may or may not be, the fact remains that its still weird. And its certainly not something you should be telling your 'gal pals.' Its no wonder he has such screwed up views on sex.

Anyway, I was joking referencing Lovecraft on another thread, and it go me thinking. What exactly has Chris read? Quite frankly, he doesn't seem like a prolific reader, and if he's read much of anything since high school I would be genuinely shocked. That's why I didn't ask what Chris' literary tastes are; he likely hasn't read enough to have any. Obviously we know Chris read the Goosebumps books, as well as To Kill a Mockingbird (though he seems to conflate it with Of Mice and Men, which might mean he read that book too, or at least was assigned it) and the wiki mentions A Warm Fuzzy Tale. Anything else? There are a ton of childrens' books out there... did he ever read Where the Wild Things Are, The Very Hungry Caterpillar or Dr. Seuss?

I feel like Chris' choices in reading might surprise us. Not because I expect something deep or profound, but rather because Chris has an interesting way of latching onto relatively obscure phenomena. Yes, he certainly likes popular things like Pokemon, MLP, Sonic, Family Guy and such, and he makes a point of claiming to like "all popular music," but he also has quite a few things most people wouldn't even know. The American Rabbit, Samurai Pizza Cats and the Ghostbusters. Is it possible there's some weird, obscure young adult novel he's picked up on? Or am I giving him too much credit here?

Also, I'm kind of surprised that Chris doesn't read comics. I mean, yeah, I know he has an aversion to violence which might cut down on some... but on the other hand Chris also loves him some China and there are no shortage of mainstream comics with oversexualized female characters in tight fitting and/or revealing costumes. If he has a crush on Meg Griffin and faps to Sailor Moon, then why wouldn't Marvel, DC, Image or Dark Horse appeal to him? Heck, publishers like Zenescope are all about comic boobs! Or, again, is it too much for him to follow word bubbles? I won't even get into manga.
The last book(s) Chris has ever admitted to reading were GooseBump books and "To Kill A Mockingbird" for school (but he got the plot mixed up with "Of Mice and Men" soo... not sure which one he actually read, if any at all. Chris seems like the guy who wouldn't read it but he'd watch the movie or he'd ask his parents to tell him what it's about)

During the Father Call, Chris did seem to be able to rattle off some of the plot of To Kill a Mockingbird when corrected that George and Lenny were from Of Mice and Men. However, he talks about Boo Radley and Scout and apparently had completely forgotten Atticus and the trial.

He probably only read a part of To Kill a Mockingbird before giving up.

Thats how I would read books too. Read it, understand that I can't follow this, and drop it.

Jeez, I literally haven't read a book since Harry Potter came out.

How do you suppose these soldiers would react if they ever got wind of things like the Twin Falling Towers video or Chris's opinion on the old DADT rule?

Probably something along the lines of "He dosn't know any better".

There are probably a few barriers to Chris reading. He probably doesn't have the downtime. He also would need to go out of his way to decide on a book to read, and to acquire the book. That's enough to keep him from reading.

I would have thought he had nothing but downtime. Do q-sand runs really keep him that busy? Or is Barb sending him to fetch the 14BC hoard remains one carload at a time?

Well, by downtime, I'm more meaning time he hasn't already allocated to something (video games, for example). So yeah, not real people downtime, Chris downtime.

Another barrier is probably his own lack of imagination and books lack of pictures or drawings. When regular people read books, they usually visualize the characters, the enviroment they are in etc. etc., but when Chris reads a book, his mind is probably completely empty.

My friend (the one at center) was duly amused by Chris's views on DADT, being a damn homo herself.

How has his autism benefitted him? I can't seem to think of ways it has, the way Bill Gates, Einstein, or JFK were beneffitted by theirs..

Chris's absence can be explained by him actually dying and Barb not telling anyone about it because the corpse of her little boi does not benefit the new growing hoard if it leaves her side and her sight.

Didn't know where else to post this, so Random seems like the right place.

I had never seen this video before. It was made during the whole Liquid Chris thing, so it can be argued that Chris was just saying these things to proof he was the real deal or whatever. But still, when you look at how he was still calling the CWCki forums "slander" up until 2014, this video is a revelation to me. It's like it's another person speaking, or maybe someone was feeding him these lines, I don't know. I mean, read this:
I have had a revelation, I now see the truth. [puts his glasses back on] I see the truth behind the reason the trolls troll me. Why they have been, why they still be doing it and all the like. Not just because they are bored, not just because they want information. Not just because they want to get to know me, not because—not just because they have emotionally hurt themselves, so many details that can be supposed for all the reasons to be listed. But, [looks at his red clipboard] the trolls are there to document the truth. Granted, they twist it around with their own evil ways. Try to make the individual look bad, but still they document the truth.

I thank you trolls. I thank you for documenting the truth.

Any thoughts, or backstage info on this sudden moment of clarity?

It's kept him from going to jail at least once and that's about the extent of it. The only time the 'tism has ever helped him was in avoiding punishment.

So I go away for a couple of months, graduate, apply to become a teaching fellow, come back and there is no more hoarder home?! Fire? Thieving at Best Buy? Am I missing something? Bring me up to speed on our favorite hero... Please!
