Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

But is that pride about "being normal" a reflection of how his parents wanted to see him, despite Chris being Chris?

There's been some (compelling, I'll add) conjecture that a lot of Chris's activity of late - especially regarding his quarter-assed transsexuality and his thoughts of the future - is due to the fact that 2015 - the watershed year where, according to Sonichu 10, he would have his perfect sweetheart and daughter - is now upon him, and that reality just ain't clicking into place.

I'll ask, though, how much stock should we put in the importance of that year in Sonichu or Chris's mind? He made those pages five or six years ago, which in the scope of Chris's existence is an eternity. In the comics, "2015" might as well have been replaced with "a gazillion years from now."

Not much to be honest, Chris isn't good with time it was just a dream he had assigned a value to and then it became part of his world for a bit.

The best way to think of Chris's understanding of time is think in 30 day leaps, he lives tugboat to tugboat that's his only regular date marker. He will plan what he is going to spend on his new toy's an spend the month wondering where all that money has gone. He has a few dates he knows in some vague way are coming up Such as Christmas or His Birthday (I would go as far as saying he only knows them as he has been given free toy's for much of his life on those dates) he has no real concept of time beyond that. Since he left Schooling his concept of time management has deteriorated, he has not had to follow a schedule other than his own since he left so to him a "Quick nap" is 8 hours that's more than I sleep on average a night.

You know what happens inmates in Isolation? They sleep they sleep at random times and lose track of time you might enter confinement an know it's Monday you start sleeping more an more out of shear boredom soon you think it's a few day's later than it really is. I think that this is kind of close to what Chris feel's when he is awake it's a long boring repetitive time he sleep's a inordinate about of time an starts the groundhog day all over again, He has been living in isolation for a long time and with his only regular date marker being the tugboat I am sure he hasn't got much of a clue any more what short term intervals of time like a day or a week relay are.

Some guy posted some good stories about Kacey and Liquid's life on /c ow/ at one point. Apparently Kacey is basically in charge of him, bosses him around and stuff, makes him run stupid errands like for ice cream in the middle of the night.

Any links? Or have they been lost to the ages?

Here's a screenshot. These stories weren't originally posted by JEWS, he was reposting them from an earlier incarnation of /c ow/

He seems to attach a lot of value to 2015. It was the year Bob was supposed to have died (according to the Grim Reaper in a dream). And it marks the potential 15 year high school reunion and the 15th anniversary of Sonichu.

I get the impression that Chris thinks that seeking professional mental health would be acknowledging he had serious mental health problems. A lot of his self image is built around his "success" in mainstreamed education, his desire for a "normal " sweetheart, etc. There is the autism, but other than that he needs to see himself as a perfectly normal man or woman. I suppose his parents could be responsible for parts of that attitude.

I wonder if part of Chris knows or suspects that he has some other shit going on and that he is afraid of a psychiatrist looking under the hood because he is a suspects there might be problems there. But that is probably giving Chris too much credit for depth.
He may also fear that a professional therapist would exceed the Hurtful Truth Level.

Kacey is LOLcow-level already, if you look at some of her leaked PVCC posts.

I've been having some thoughts about how to properly do a Chris-Chan game recently.

Option 1- Christian Chandler's Adult Chronicles

Similar to the already attempted game but more of a summary/exciting version of what happened from Chris's perspective, creating an actual game. You face down each and every enemy Chris encountered with him and his RPG Party of Sonichus and other freaky Chandleric entities in the vast world of CWCVille and the surrounding Locales, culminating in an epic battle against some sort of Lovecraftian Pickle-beast responsible for so much of his drama. Love Quest/Troll Wars put together.

One could acquire his various accessories as seen on the CWCki proper, all sorts of relics of fail and mementos. Status effects could range from Stress to Slumber to Rage, with the Magic/Mana analogue in Heart Level used in Curse-Ye-Hame-Has and other Autism Based Majjyks.

Of course, it's all a parodical reflection of Chris's fucked up life, mocking him all the way.

Option 2- Christian Chandler vs. The World

Side-Scrolling Beat-Em-Up in the Scott Pilgrim Art Style in which you waddle about, battling Jerkops and other villains in Chris's life. Similar to the above in both respects. It would follow along with his long tradition of ripping things the fuck off.

Other playable characters include Sonichus and some more noted trolls.

Chiptune versions of Christian and The Hedgehog Boys bammin' tunes would make up the soundtrack.

Option 3- Pokemon Mellow Yellow

Chris's Fakemon in a Pokemon game, in his own twisted region. Sweethearts would form the Gym Leaders probably and you'd find the Trolls as the evil team The Miscreants.

Chris is of course the champion, and you will play as a determined troll ready to dethrone him.

Option 4- The Binding of Christian

His Mom's already the proper size, and the Relics of Fail are numerous enough to provide ample items.

I don't intend on any of these being made, I was just thinking on it.

I am read reading a book called "How to Win friends an Influence people" the first time in years I have picked it up and I had totally forgot about this:

Francis "Two Gun's" Crowley.

This guy is what Chris would be if he was not such a congenital coward, mostly in terms of how he viewed himself as the victim.
Crowley was in a lovers lane kissing his Girlfriend when a Police officer asked him for some ID and shot him, emptied his Gun infact then got the police officers Pistol an shot the unfortunate officer again all for doing his job.
During a protracted firefight in New York City involving over 700 rounds fired from Rifles an Sub Machine Gun's and ironically considering I am comparing him to Chris Tear Gas, he wrote the following in a farewell letter during the shoot out:

Francis Crowley said:
"Under my coat is a weary heart, but a kind one - one that would do nobody any harm."

Very similar to how Chris writes that he is the victim defending himself from attack and was justified in doing so, in many of his Facebook posts.

In the edition of the book I am reading Dale Carnegie wrote the following:

Dale Carnegie said:
"Wouldn't you like to have a magic phrase that would stop argument, eliminate ill feeling, create good will, and make the other person listen attentively?..."

This is very much how Chris views apologies an his self justification of his actions, Dale Carnegie opened with this story as way of showing how criticism of some one so skilled at self justification is futile as it will never sink in, that they are possibly wrong. Oh and the missing magic phrase Carnegie was talking about was the other half of the quote above:

Dale Carnegie said:
"...Yes? All right. Here it is. Begin by saying: "I don't blame you one iota for feeling as you do. If I were you, I should undoubtedly feel just as you do."

Chris lacks the wherewithal to put himself in the mind of others an to see how his own actions will effect people, the cheat code he is looking for like a awful lot of things are beyond his grasp be it because of his low intellect / autism or because he is just unwilling to do so.
It's not worth arguing with him on the subject of empathy for others, He is so skilled in being a professional victim and doing the mental gymnastics to enable himself being painted as such and any rationalization you attempt to use on Chris is a wasted effort as he is always going to be the Victim nothing will convince him otherwise.

In fact he is so skilled at doing it he is no longer conscious he is doing it, it might be the only skill he genuinely has any talent with.

Just some food for thought.

I might get some heat for this, but I honestly wonder: Did Borb actually hate Chris at some level?

I was just watching that old 2004 Chandler family Christmas video. These types of videos aren't uncommon. Usually the parents in them ( or even the grandparents!) think its really cool that Christmas is being filmed, or at least act like it is to make their kid happy on Christmas day. Both Bob and Barb looked totally dead inside, and were just grudgingly putting up with Chris.

Why do I ask if they hated him? I ask because of the type of people Borb were and are, and in many ways, their lives took a turn for the worst after Chris was born. After he was born they could no longer drink and whore to their hearts content. After he was born, they had to spend a ton more money, re-locate to stop the "evil county" from throwing him in Arkham asylum, and suffer the stigma and shame of raising a disabled child (at least that is how they thought of it.)

Parents often get angry and frustrated with their children, but usually the children have positive attributes to make their parents happy or hopeful: The kid is kind, is great at sports, is funny/charming, will probably be rich/successful one day, etc.

With Chris, there was and is none of that. A lot of "specials" are kind, generous and innocent, but I guess Chris always had sort of a grating, selfish personality.

Even though they sort of provided for Chris, and would never admit to anyone they hated their own son, do you think they did?

I know this is dark.. I just have been thinking about it though.

Parents acting excited for children on Christmas is normal for six year old children, not 22 year old children. And especially not for 22 year old children who have been six years old, mentally, for fourteen years.

Me and my siblings are in our late 20's. My mother still gets super-stoked about everything around Christmas time. Presents, music. food. But that isn't particularly relevant.

It kind of reminds me of a neighbour of mine. She has a 3 year old kid who is always yammering away and showing off for her. My neighbour always praises her in a super sarcastic tone of voice. The kid clearly is not capable of detecting that. In the Christmas video Bob and Barb's emotions range from apathy to irritation. Chris seems oblivious. Why should they bother pretending to be happy about things when Chris will just assume they are happy and they think he is awesome no matter what?

As part of the reveal videos... I mean, rumor has it he got them from the Tomgirls of Virginia Forum but that'd be like a bunch of uneducated people trying to deduce who Batman is. Hell, some people dont even know who Batman IS (I've seen this one the other day.... Someone said "Bruce Wayne?") so that might not be so out of the realm of possibility. But then... Why the lolcows? I mean... These people are some of the most obscure lolcows on the internet. Look at ADF, someone really picked him? Chris couldn't figure out... Hey... These guys are morons, it clearly isn't them. Well it does make sense, knowing Chris obviously he isn't capable of rational thought, but the real question is whether Chris himself was being trolled by it's members or whether some troll was in the ranks of the Tomgirls of Virginia forum and helped Chris with making a fool of himself. Is there an actual source the identities came from? This one thing about all the sagas has always puzzled me.
