Not being an A log but do you think if Chris was tortured into behaving through Game of Thrones/ Berserk medieval level punishment, it would finally snap him out of believing the whole merge shit and finally force him I to being a better person. After being through such mental and physical agony would he finally break?

It could just force him to lie. Reprogramming takes a scalpel, not just a chainsaw. It wouldn’t last, it would probably make him worse. Maybe mute.

I assume a lot of that depends on if Barb will/has thrown him under the bus or not. I don't know the general assumption right now but I figured she hasn't even if she has cut contact, or the charges would've already changed. There's nothing really stopping her from just saying "fuck it" and distancing herself via family encouragement. No doubt Chris will try to show up to 14BC no matter what whenever he is eventually out, but he can get slapped with a trespassing charge either way (restraining order or Barb just wanting nothing to do with him) and the cycle will repeat— Time locked up, try to go to 14BC, more time.

I have seen some say though upon release he likely won't be very close to 14BC and while he will try, he wouldn't reach the property successfully on his own. No car, no understanding of public transport, and he's lazy as hell. This seems like a safe bet.
Christine has made it very clear it's 14BC or bust whenever he gets out.

But I doubt he's going to be allowed to just mosey on up to the house without anyone watching.

(I mean that's assuming if anyone else in the legal system gives a damn what happens to him afterwards)

They'll be people watching his every move once he gets out...

It's only up to Barb's discretion if he comes back home or not (or if Unkie Tom and Ahuntie Harriet power of attorney).

I could almost weep tears of joy imaging Chris trying to go home and his uncle or Aunt are there barring him from going inside ( trash bags of all his shit are on the side of the road), weens are filming and calling the cops as he's chimping out to epic proportions.

Come on you know you want to see that.

Chris: " BarbiChu, Let me in, let me in!"
Cops: "Not by the hair of your many chin chins".

I’m not so sure, do you know the extent of medieval torture, , flaying people alive, forcing them to take baths in boiling water, hot pokers, pulling off nails, cutting and slicing tendons, after a point he’d go insane and definitely be changed Phychologically for good.

PS: Sorry for the disturbing imagery, I’m not planning anything I just needed to make my point more vivid.

I was an edgelord teen goth. So yes.

I don’t think any of that would jolt Chris into better behavior or psychological health. It would just break him into a mute. He might even burrow further into his delusions to escape the ptsd and other after effects.

I liked it better when Chris just filmed things and told us himself. This shit with w33ns going out of their way to try and film Chris is just sad and gross

Like others already said, no. Mental "torture" however has changed Chris' behaviour before. The Idea Guys were able to manipulate Chris into giving into their demands by convicing him CWCville and his characters were in danger.

In exchange for giving them money and doing horrible shit, Chris got to play with people who acted like his fantasy was real. He got an immersive larp, albeit a dark and awful one. He preferred that dark and awful fantasy to real life so profoundly that he gave the other players thousands of dollars and his dignity. For Chris, deeply pretending that CWCville is in danger with reinforcers is better than facing reality, even if it means shitting on the floor.

During the Father Call, Chris defended still living at home in his late 20s by saying "to each their own individual growth rates".

I think it's a common thing for parents of an autistic to tell the autist that "everyone grows at their own pace" - especially when the autist gets frustrated that their life isn't moving like that of a normal person. Borb must've told Chris that.

"Oh, honey, you're just a late bloomer is all. You know, the longer it takes a berry to ripen, the sweeter it's juices. You're very special, and you got your SandShoes! That's a billion dollar franchise waiting to happen, just like Sonic The Spikehog or that Family Gal on Fox you're always goin' on about. Now, quit bothering momma and let her drink her peanut greasy-o wine and watch Opree in peace".

He'd break but he wouldn't improve.

What Chris needs is training, not torture. Training can involved physical punishment, but it has to be applied at precisely the right moment to reinforce which actions are good and bad.

If everything was on the table, a mixture of olde timey corporal punishment, followed by a more modern treatment program would probably do wonders for Chris. For instance, the courthouse is right next to the historical museum of Stanardsville (I hate that town name so much) and they probably have a horsewhip in the collection. Immediately after conviction, he could be dragged out and given 20 lashes in front of the town. That would satisfy the torture people, and then afterwards given immediate mental health treatment.

The combination of the immediate pain, after being convicted with a simple explanation why this was happening, then immediately put into a treatment plan might shock him enough out of his previous delusions. That type of punishment hasn't been tried on Chris, so there's a good chance of the combination working. Plus it makes everybody happy.

Yeah. Preferably each lash would have someone directly telling what the lash was for, so it sank into his mind. Chris *NEEDS* to be thinking about what the lash is for, otherwise he won't associate it with his crime. So not 20 lashes in a row, but *explanation* LASH *explanation* LASH *explanation* LASH. Ideally, the lashes would occur precisely when he did something wrong though, which means he would have to be in a facility where they could quickly respond. Hence my remote-monitored shock collar idea.

Also I hate the name of Stanardsville too. Especially since I'm a retard and keep accidentally typing it as "Standardsville".

The only individual growth in Chris's life has been his waistline or adding another chin.

individual
Also Chris can make the word "individual" annoying from how much he overuses it.

I guess he picked it up on some TV show and started parroting it to sound smart.

(kind of like with the word "uncouth" from "My Little Pony")

I think a far less apalling way to snap Chris out of delusions is to somehow get him to see himself in a "neurotypical" perspective.

That could be like the "Father Call" on steroids.

How do you define good here though, I can’t imagine it‘d make Chris more productive or any nicer to people, it’d probably just make him more anxious and cause other mental issues.
