One of the scariest things about Chris is that the only thing really stopping him from doing anything he wants, generally speaking, is his preconceived notions about them. Then once he ends up doing something and finds his previous notion wrong, he goes full force in the opposite direction. Look at every single thing he was against during the golden age to where he is now.One of the things that made the barbussy saga so shocking is because it’s one of the few times Chris actually acted on one of his urges in a concrete way. There were decades of impotent rage and sexual frustration leading up to the barbussy
Like, take the mace incident. That wasn't just Chris trying to copy what he saw in mass media about how to be a 'strong woman' - because you can't convince me he didn't go there with full intention of causing trouble as an excuse to use the mace - but it also was really the first time Chris ever truly attacked somebody in real life. And for his trouble, he only got two days in the drunk tank. While to date, those two days are the only point in his life Chris hasn't talked about in some length (not that anything actually happened besides him sitting around shitting his pants in fear), the fact he had gone to jail at all meant the consequences of breaking the fucking law suddenly were not so scary in his mind's eye.
Cue his dumb-as-fuck mugshot years later after once again breaking the law in a more severe, disgusting way. He thinks he's just getting another adult time-out over the weekend, not being tossed into jail for two years only to be released without having even been declared innocent.
It was the last stand of his parents trying to prove Chris was 'normal'.Can someone explain to me why Chris spent thousands of his parents' dollars and five years of his life going to college?
I mean, it is clear Chris never intended to use his degree to get a job and he seems to have known that going in, so what was the point?
He never tried in college, just like he never tried in high school so why didn't he just stay home and play video games all day like he did before and after college?
Why did his parents fund something as useless as college for Chris?
