Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

I still find it odd Cole got pissed at Chris because Barb told him the same story. What did he expect? Barb to tell Chris the truth when she allegedly wouldn't tell Cole who his own father was? Did he expect Chris to break into Bob's vault to find some record of who his real father was? What did Cole expect?
Like I said, Cole is the victim in some of this story and he has every right to live his own life but that doesn't excuse using your disabled younger brother as a tool to pump information about your heritage.

It's sort of makes the older half siblings look like better siblings by just not being involved at all.

Of course we always have to think of the fact that Chris's siblings were quite a bit older than him as well but I think Chris definitely would have benefited from an older sibling who could have protected him a little more.

Someone who had Chris's best interest to heart and maybe could have found him some kind of work or a way to transition out of their parents' home.

Even an aunt or an uncle who took an interest in helping would have been better, of course we don't know to what extent Aunt Corrine or any of these other relatives played in their life it sounds like the chandlers were pretty much on their own.

Due to their own actions. But even still, Cole knew his younger brother was getting abused by a babysitter and presumably didn't do anything. So...

Cole tried to manipulate chris but failed. But he also tried to warn him but that was dumb of him as Chris was about that life. He really didn't like his Bob nor barb which i find interesting as how did they treat him? Or was he just a spoiled ass hole? I think Barb's manipulation and Bob probably gas lighted his ass to California.

Even though GFM's CWC documentary was one of my favorites (I like the voice actors for all the different characters and the CWC-style artwork throughout), I'd have to skip over the parts where he interviewed Chris -- I just didn't find it interesting to hear him say "among which" a million times while those poor abused dogs howled in the background. So I'm not even excited to see another chapter... which is disappointing because the whole post-arrest timeline is a bit of a blindspot in Christory that could contain lots of intriguing new details.

Yeah I have a feeling it's just going to be enabling ass patting and Chris yammering on about his nonsense crap for an hour. We might get some small new things about Chris's goings on, but that'll be about it.

To be fair, I doubt Cole knew about the abusive babysitter. Remember, Cole and Chris never actually lived together. He was already living in California when Chris was born. Hell, Cole is old enough to be Chris's dad.
That being said, it's still really funny that his retarded little brother asked him to click a like button on a video and his response was "only if you can answer this age-old burning question that's plagued me all my life!" He's a pretentious dickhead and, like @AnOminous said, a minor cow in his own right.

Pretty sure Cole knew about the abusive babysitter as he mentions it in an email or something. I'm not sure exactly where to who he says is to. But he was well aware.

I thought that was retarded of Cole, too.

Chris is autistic and obviously has a very low level of intelligence. He would believe anything that Barb told him. Why would Cole think that Chris has info on who Cole's real father is and why would he think Barb would even tell him when Chris believes all of her lies anyway? And then to be a dick to his half-brother over it is just stupid as hell.

Granted, Chris contacted him to vote for his stupid contest entry and he probably was sick of getting emailed photos of Chris's dick, but still. All he had to do was lie and say he did vote for Chris and he didn't need to do all that drama queening it up

I am unsure if someone already confirmed this (I’m a lazy ass, can’t be bothered to look through archives right now), but is there a confirmed number of actual people involved with trolling Chris pre-troon sagas (2007-2011)?

Chris has a mental retardation, probably mild, first of all, so he's stupid, so he believes everything he is told. If he wasn't mentally challenged they wouldn't treat him so leniently when he was sentenced to prison.

I've often wondered, where do you think Chris would be in life right now if the Idea Guys and the trolls who followed in their footsteps never existed? I have no doubt he'd be in a terrible place in life, but I'm still curious. Sorry if this has been asked already.

He probably would have gotten in trouble for stalkling or groping women. His obnoxious behavior would have continued, he'd be just as fat, and probably have even crazier delusions.

It's interesting to think of Chris as a "guinea pig" for the mainstreaming + accommodations model of educating verbal autistic students in public schools.

Chris has riffed on Aspergers and many have claimed that Aspergers and "high functioning"/verbal/low-mid support needs autism are one and the same. But remember that Chris was diagnosed with autism during a time when you needed a speech delay to receive the diagnosis, and Chris did indeed have a speech delay. If he talked in sentences on schedule or earlier, he would not have received any support.

Sometimes, these "autistic early talkers" would have instead been diagnosed with childhood schizophrenia, childhood psychosis, a conduct disorder, bipolar (mania looks an awful lot like autistic meltdowns, pressured speech from infodumping, autistic introversion, difficulty with reading social cues, grandiose interest in specific topics, etc., etc., and burnout looks a lot like a bipolar depressive episode), etc., and given medication they don't need and not much in the way of coping strategies or accommodations for autism.

Other times, if the symptoms were sub-clinical (i.e., a solitary boy, just like his father, who likes electronics kits and doesn't get playful sarcasm unless it's really obvious, who manages to squeak by as a C student) was just "the weird kid in school" or "just shy." They received no coping strategies or accommodations at all.

And sadly, many autistic women are still either misdiagnosed with bipolar (made worse by the fact that they are essentially raised to mask, so unmasking can look like a shift away from their base state instead of towards it), with BPD, or just with being average, albeit maybe tomboyish or reserved, people. As a result, they never get accommodations, such as the ability to type notes in classes that would otherwise have laptop bans.

That's a big one – at my school, me and several other kids were issued bare-bones non-laptops called "AlphaSmarts". I'd take tests in a separate room or on the teacher's computer, often with spell check disabled. I also had accommodations allowing the use of quiet fidget toys in class, etc., and wasn't the only one.

It's perhaps a bit ironic that mainstreaming essentially inoculates the classroom with non-mainstream ideals. If your accommodations include the class powerpoints or a tape recorder, you could argue that that encourages kids not to listen... yet part of my disability makes active listening hard, to the point where I was given a thorough hearing test by the district because people wondered if I was deaf, since I found it hard to concentrate on teacher's voices and still find a lot of soft-spoken people especially are harder to pay attention to. And miming the neurotypical presentation of active listening, where you sit still with feet on the floor and make eye contact, actually distracts me even more! It's better to sit at the front, look at the board, and ask the teacher for clarification as needed, and also to have access to recordings of the lecture.

Yet you still ultimately have access to the same intellectual resources.

It's hard to say because there's a lot of people behind the scenes and a lot of one-off trolls that were other trolls in disguise (for example, Vivian Gee was Clyde Cash).

You'd have to go through the Cwcki and then try and figure out which trolls were someone else using an alias, which isn't the easiest to do. The number has to be impressively high though
