I'm sure a lot of it is to do with Chris's autism, a bit like that old Onion comedy sketch where an autistic reporter really likes the idea of prison due to how predictable and structured everything is there.
That's why I think Chris wasn't traumatized as much by jail as an ordinary person would be, even kept mostly in isolation. Short of the lack of vidya or Internet, it wasn't much different than his normal day to day life.

I’m not a regular contributor or even visitor to this thread. WTF did I do to fuck up my algo so bad?! (:_(

What was it about a high school Spanish class that left such an impression on him?

Christopher isn't Hispanic, yet he was using Spanish like a "weeaboo" uses Japanese in not Spanish assignments. And now he tries to pronounce "Jesús" while posing as Christ.
A pretty out there theory but as for the ‘Hey-Zeus’ pronunciation I wonder if it could be because of Zeus’s association with lightning?

With Chris, it's nothing that we can understand that a normal-brained, albeit laughable and pathetic person would do. It's not some kid excited that he can use Spanish and then sprinkling it in everywhere in inappropriate situations. Chris's psyche has always been like a Jenga tower, it's hideously easy to knock out pieces of his understanding, his memory, his concept of the world, which he then desperately tries to replace with anything he can, usually delusions and things he sees on television. I think especially in school, the sheer act of memorizing Spanish was enough to upset his mental applecart enough so he literally couldn't summon English at times. He's so close to locked-in, actually low-functioning autism it's striking at times.

Wait, wait, SHE has a 19 month old at 49?
That poor kid will see geriatric parents at his graduation
Wouldn't be the first time that's happened. How old were Borb when they "gave the birth" to "Honor Roll"?

What's some evidence for that?

So let's say weens stopped giving Chris money and buying his garbage and the tugboat was no longer enough to both house and feed Chris, do you think he suck it up and get a job pushing shopping carts or something or do you think he would spend his days on the streets staving and ranting about how he is Jesus and anyone who doesn't give him a house and food is going to hell?

Option #2.

I'm sure this has been asked many times now but why does Chris' voice sound the way it does? It's extremely high-pitched and childlike even back in the classic era way before the Tomgirl saga. There are many other autistic people (including myself) who don't have a voice that sounds like that which makes sense since autism is a spectrum. But even then, he sounds like an eight year old child, which considering his mental age is around there, it's pretty fitting. But even when compared to other lolcows such as Cyraxx, Daniel Larson, or even World of Tshirts (who sounds at least less childlike than Chris) he seems to have this voice that would be a turn-off to most people, even if he were mature and a good person

Yes! Even before he started pretending to be a woman and shrieking every word, his voice was abnormally high. And what's more puzzling is that it wasn't always that way. His voice was totally different when he was 16 and recorded that mock radio broadcast.

I wonder if it was influenced by his excessive cartoon and video game consumption where he subconsciously emulated the characters he watched so much.

Was it a mistake for Bob and Barb to tell Chris about his autism diagnosis so early? He pretty much made it his entire personality and used it as an excuse for all of his bad behavior. Of course, it would be clear that he's different from other kids his age, but that could be hand-waved with some "everyone is different and special in their own way" platitudes.

The Chandler family tradition is to create excuses for their horrible behavior or else shift the blame on other people. Chris was most likely a terror when he was a kid, as he's confessed giving his parents so much grief by "screeching" and being out of control. It's probably why his other family members stopped inviting the Chandlers over to their houses and why Chris didn't do any normal kid things like trick or treating. Just because Chris couldn't talk didn't mean he couldn't make noise.

I'm sure Borb just waved their hands and used the autism excuse a lot. "It's not our fault for being bad parents, it's the autism." On that note, Borb probably used autism on Chris and his behavior when he was younger to guilt him into hanging around. "You owe us Chris for having to deal with you when you were younger." I think Chris has even said as much at one point.

[Hazelschizo posts screencaps]
What is it with mentally ill freaks -- such as "Chris Chan" or Hazelschizo -- believing that "cartoons are real in another dimension"?

I'm guessing it is a combination of mental illness, wishful thinking, ignorance of science, and not really thinking of the issues that would come up with fiction going real.
