Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

The Doopie Saga has given us new insights into Chris's declining grasp on reality. He's always been out there, from the days of curse-ye-ha-me-has and believing in Roger Rabbit toonverse, but now he's saying he believes he can fly and bend things with his mind.

Out of everything that has been happening out of the Doopie Saga, this has me most worried about him. Just how far is this going to go? It seems like he's doubled down on the insanity in the past two to three years or so, is he going to triple down when Barb dies?

@Marvin is probably going to come in here and say he really doesn't believe in this shit, but what do you believe? What do you think of this lunacy?

Chris is just straight up stupid. He's been listening to Binaural Beats for months, I thought he would drop that shit after realising nothing is actually happening but he actually beleives they work, that his boobs are growing, that he cured his autism, that he has psychic powers. He even wrote them into his comic book.
Chris is a snake oil salesman's dream customer.

To be fair, I say that stuff in the context of people saying "lol Chris is going to strap cardboard to his arms and try to fly off of his roof". There's a difference in believing in lucky charms and rosary beads, like little old ladies do, and believing something is actually part of the physical world, to the point where you act on these beliefs IRL.

Worst of all, Chris himself claims that he's maturing mentally, meaning he thinks there's nothing wrong with himself thinking that he's a fucking Paper-bender, can fly, has a vagina growing inside his taint, we somehow live in a "reality cartoon" while the cartoons other people make simultaneously exist in this universe and some other dimension, and believes he can attack people with magic, and this has only been getting worse and worse over the years.

Yeah, Chris, I can definitely see you maturing at this point!

I greatly suspect he has another, far sadder reason for his continual detachment from reality.

Reality is his greatest troll, no question. In the real world, he's a loser by all objective measures in basically every field of endeavor, and that has got to wound him, while in his fantasies he's actually a successful person, and given how he never matured past his childhood, that fantasy world is more and more an escape from a reality that is only getting more cruel as he ages.

I don't think Chris would open up to you the same way as to someone that he wants to bang.

I don't mean that maliciously. Just saying I think Chris acts towards you the same he would other people he might be familiar with. The real Chris is hidden in his room and with people he for some reason trusts implicitly.
