Surely it's not the infamous totem, is it? I guess that vaguely resembles a hot dog, but I always thought it looked more like Brian Peppers than a happy meal.

Hmmm... The totem is paper mache. I wonder if he used a happy meal box as the base, and molded everything else around that?

"Raincoat" isn't just a CWCism for condom, it's actually a legitimate slang term. It's fallen out of use in our generation, though, it was much more common in the Boomer and WWII generations.

Wait... does that mean there's a chance he got it from his parents? if so why the hell were they talking about condoms in his presence and using slang words for them

Ignoring the fact that Chris called himself naïve earlier on in the same phone call, was Matthew using naïve premeditated? I mean I think at that point it had been made clear that the word was something Chris hated, so did Matthew use it to get a rise out of Chris, or did he use it simply because it accurately describes Chris' state of mind?

Also, in Pokémon games, Pokémon can have natures which affects their stats, but this isn't made clear through the games themselves and indeed doesn't matter for a lot of people. One of the natures is "naïve", I'm wondering if Chris ever specifically avoided using Pokémon he got if they had that nature.

I'm fairly certain it was used to get a rise out of Chris. Chris' hate for that word had been well documented by that point and Matthew being a master troll would have known.

I'm quite certain he got it from his parents. Old TV shows wouldn't speak of such things, and his peers probably didn't use the term at school. Then again, he may have learned it from Beavis and Butt-head and the connection is coincidental.

But, assuming that he heard it from his parents, I'm not surprised. He knew an unsettling amount about how much sex they had, when they had it, and when each parent lost their respective virginities. Even if his knowledge wasn't accurate, the fact that it took up space in his brain is damned weird.

Absolutely. It pissed Chris off, which was the goal. I'm always amused that Chris huffs and puffs and warns Matthew that he'd "crossed a line", like he was supposed to give a shit. Matthew had just demonstrated that Chris was the lazy wimp we all know him to be, and Chris didn't have a leg to stand on. Yet he wants Matthew to fear crossing his "line". :lol:

So one of the new leaks shows that some of Chris's ENGLISH notes were in SPANISH.
Why did Chris care about Spanish so much?

He attempted to use his Spanish "skills" to prove to everyone that Liquid was not the real Chris (which Liquid responded to in fluent Spanish, alongside several other languages). I've always assumed that it was something that made him feel special, since he "knew" something that most in his community don't, making him feel like even more of a special snowflake.

That actually makes sense. Where I come from at least a quarter of us speak Spanish and I know enough to get by. Taking high school Spanish isn't hot shit.
Borb probably didn't know Spanish since it wasn't important during their generation. I'm sure rural Virginia isn't big on the Spanish speakers.
So yeah, good point on it probably made Chris feel unique.

it kind of got swallowed up by the ebay stuff immediately after, but marvin just mentioned in a different thread the lego simonola posed to be getting railed by wild sonichu and the fact that chris decided that that was an important thing to post along with everything else just cracks me up

I've been watching through Beavis and Butthead lately and saw an episode where the duo referred to a condom as a "raincoat". That must be where Chris picked it up.
It's indeed an outdated term that was in use in the early 90s - I myself saw it playing Leisure Suit Larry.

Well, it's because Chris needs to remind us for the umpteenth time that Sonichu, Rosechu, and all of the members of the Chaotic Combo are in fact STRAIGHT!

Now here's something I don't get; Chris thinks men are JERKS for stealing all the pretty girls and leaving none for him. I recall _blank_ brought up the theory that Chris intended Angelica Rosechu to be his sweetheart in the comics, and the character of Reginald Sneasel adds some credence to all of this. Angelica ends up with Punchy for a spell. Almost all of the combo except Magi-Chan have romantic relationships. Shouldn't Chris think that all the Sonichus are jerks by that logic?

I know Barb lost her virginity in high school to some leather jacketed greaser with a toothpick in his mouth. But where did Bob lose his? In Korea to some Tegu strumpet?
Also, where did Chrissy learn the term "slow in the mind?" Is that an old-school name for retard like "simple minded" "imbecile" or "half-wit?" Im guessing Chris' parents were ok with it, but what about the public school? If nothing, public schools are pretty PC. Wouldn't tehy remind him that that is not acceptable word to use, and that he is a slow and special boy himself?
