Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

Buying and playing Saint's Row IV would require Chris to have good taste. Plus, I don't know if he could handle the male nudity in it.

I saw a McDonalds commercial tonight for a chance to be in a McDonalds commercial (you upload your video [i'm guessing] to McDonald's website). Do we have another PaRappa contest on our hands?

Unfortunately, no. I don't know if Chris has entered any contests in a long time. It would be lulzy if his crappy commercial of a tomgirl eating q-sands and fries made it to TV because all the trolls voted for it.

Macdonalds would lose billions thanks to that one commercial putting everyone who views it off their food.

Imagine that video of Chris eating a pizza, but shown to a worldwide audience. Eww, yeah, they would lose a lot of money.

On the bright side, Burger King would get a lot of new customers :ween:

McDonalds gives ppl little assignments like, "Share you in your pajamas" or "share how you wake up in the morning", or "Share your handmade stuff"

...oh god. "share your handmade stuff"? iDea book vid clip in 3...2...
Is there any word on wether Chris considers his lego deck holder a lesser creation over his iDea book case?
After all he lists the stupid thing in his "greatest creations" would the iDea book case make that list now?

I'm not sure if Chris' reasoning behind entering the PSP contest was due to him beliving if could win one - very easy - contest he could win another, beliving that his autism made him special and deserving of winning, or a combination of the two.

The fake webpage he created had me in stitches with it's ALL CAPS and CWCisms. XD

He entered that Charlottesville's cutest dogs contest or whatever though.

Being long-term unemployed myself, I wonder how Chris would cope if he had to sign-on twice a month like I do. I concider myself a very patient person and able to deal with stress (sigh). But the DWP with their blatant refusual to listen to me has reduced me to tears, made me raise my voice above what I thought I was capable of and made me hate my life so much I just wanted it to end. So I can only wonder how long it would take for the autistic wonder to flip his shit.

Sorry if it seems like I'm venting, but having to deal with the DWP's faggotry and knowing chris dosn't have to lift a finger to recive his tugboat - while mine is suspended for three fucking months if I miss even one measly apointment - is so frustrating. All the more so concidering I sincerly would love to be in work, while Chris couldn't give a shit.

I don't see Chris adjusting to something like the sign-on procedure well. He might do okay for a bit but eventually something will get screwed up, he will freak out, and then (:_( . It will likely then be the duty of Barb or some caretaker to make sure things get evened out. As prior cases have shown us, Chris actively loathes positions of responsibility.

As for the rest, I am sorry to hear that and don't feel bad. Everyone needs to vent occasionally.

Well there is a difference in what you're going for and what Chris has. I assume you're on JSA, which is only intended to keep people alive basically while looking for work. What Chris gets has nothing to do with his employment status and is not means tested. It's purely a stipend of sorts because he has autism which is intended to help pad out a regular income since his autism will hold him back in the workplace more than a regular person. It's not intended to be a person's sole source of income, but Bob convinced Chris otherwise (though to be honest I'm sure it was just the excuse he was looking for to never have to work)

Why does Chris remain unemployed? Doesn't a low paying job pay more than the money he receives from the government? He likes McDonald's, couldn't he operate the register there?

As a speshul snowflake raised by Borb, he thinks that everyone else owes him something and should provide for him. Also, working would take away from his very precious vidya and Facebook time and give him lots of |:( and :briefs: .

Eh, probably not. If he got a part time job, say, 20 hours a week at $8.50*, he'd be making just under $700 a month. That was less than his tugboat was back even before it got raised. And if he was trying to go for full time, or close to it, it'd be $1360 a month, which is just barely over what I think he's getting now.

And for most people, and especially Chris, unless you have a specific goal or something, it's not necessarily raw money that matters, but a money to effort ratio. Someone could work their ass off and make an extra $200, but it might not be worth it.

Plus Barb wouldn't let Chris get rid of the tugboat, I'm sure. She might let him get a part time job though.

* And I don't really know what mcdonalds cashiers make, but I think (based on a quick google) they might actually start at minimum wage, so it'd be less than this.

Thank you both for your answers. I underestimated what he is "making" now. Maybe when Barb dies he might have to go get something? I can only hope so.

This is one instance where Chris' reckless spending is almost a blessing. Usually these sort of benefits come with a limit on how much money you can have before you stop receiving them. I remember Thetan discussing how autistics receiving those benefits would have to go out on unnecessary spending sprees every once in a while just so they would keep receiving their benefits.

That's really the part I'd hate. Not having to work to earn a living sounds appealing at first but I'd hate knowing I could never achieve beyond a certain level or I'd lose it all.

Also, he's lazy. He whines about chores he had to do years ago.

Yeah but someone made the point to Chris, I think it was Jackie but I don't remember exactly, anyways one of the gal pals, that if he worked he could still get his :tugboat: and would get more money overall by combining the two. The system is designed like this to reduce perverse incentives.

The Department of Work and Pensions. It's the branch of the UK government that deals with state benefits for unemployment, disabilities etc
