Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

I think that is exactly right. Firstly, they come from a generation with defined male and female roles running a household. Where being married was the default option.

Also, why would they get divorced or separate? Both of them had reached the point where finding someone else was unlikely. They didn't have a lot of money between them so the additional costs would have been a burden. They had a son who would have been a lot of extra work for whichever one he lived with.

They seemed to find the best possible solution, given their limited alternatives. Remain living together, but stay out of each others way a lot of the time. Do occassional things like going out for lunch to stave off loneliness.
It certainly wasn't because of any hang-ups about divorce, considering both Bob 'n' Barb are divorcees.

Which is a little strange, if you think about it. Both the Chandler parents' behaviors have been, to an extent, rooted in a twisted suburban paranoia ("What will the neighbors think?"), so that divorce - a social stigma during their formative years - was okay by them stands out.

There is a difference between divorcing when you are youngish and divorcing when you have reached retirement age. In the first case, you are deciding that you are unhappy with your current partner, and you may want someone else. In the second case, particularly in that generation in rural Virginia, you are deciding to have a very high probability of spending the rest of your life alone.

Am I the only one who thinks the "abusive babysitter and School staff" is slight BS? I mean, Chris has over exaggerated stuff before where he would make someone look like Lucifer if he didn't get his way...

And do you think he has had the slightest interest in superhero movies like Batman and Avengers? I was always curious about this because despite all the stuff he enjoyed, he never once mentioned superheroes.
The only think I can think off that remotely suggests such an interest is in his Shopping spree video where the scanner said something about a batman game.

He's made references to sonic, mario, games, movies, shows and even Star Trek, so I kind of find it hard to believe that he would just ignore it.

Just my five sense.

The abusive babysitter story is bullshit. He had an autistic meltdown cuz he couldn't suck titty milk out of Barb for 4 hours. The babysitter was given no preparation of instructions by Bob or Barb and was unprepared to deal with his tarding off. When the Chandlers arrived home they blamed the babysitter for their own shitty parenting. If the Chandlers do anything, it's revising history so that they're never wrong.

Also Christian doesn't like superheroes. He only has passing knowledge of them. I think they're a little too masculine for him. You'd assume he does cuz he writes his own comics, but he actually got into comics through Archie, Sonic comics and those shitty licensed comics based on children's shows. He doesn't even play the Lego Marvel or Batman games, that should tell you something. I have never seen anything in his room referencing superheroes, even though there are some star wars toys in there. He is more of an anime kind of nerd than a comic book nerd. The one time he ever references superheroes is quite recently actually. In the Catie date he mentions that spiderman once tried to join the justice league, however the only reason he knows this fact is because it was on a youtube show mostly about video game and anime characters that he watches. Basically they're not girly or effeminate enough for him like My little pony and anime. The closest he gets is Transformers.

Does he really watch anime? Afaik, he only watched Sailor Moon or Pokeman, certainly not enough to call him an anime geek...

I mean he watches all the basic anime, DBZ, pokemon, sailor moon. He also prefers anything that revolves around scantily clad women (girls).

Oh please. That's just entry level Anime, don't call him an anime geek, that would give anime enthusiasts such as me a bad name by being associated with Chris.
just kidding

"In the Catie date he mentions that spiderman once tried to join the justice league, "

That's all the convincing I need.
Thank you.

I have a few questions. Some of which are kind of opinion-based:
How many times has he left Virginia in his lifetime?
What does he think of Wendy's? I know he got fired from there for scaring children, but did he continue to eat there after the fact?
What's his opinion of other religions? (Particularly Islam, Paganism, and Buddhism. I know he has a stereotypical view of Jews.)
Who did he vote for in the 2000 and 2004 elections?
The craziest conspiracy theory he ever cooked up?

A handful, five times if memory serves me correctly.

All the information you need is right here.

He is aware of the fact the exist but in no great detail, His views, beliefs and understanding of his own faith are some what confused (magic powers an what not) but he has a rather predictably backwards view of atheists.
A good starting point is the Wiki.

I wonder if Chris would like some modern shows? Not the gory seinen type (it's a given that he wouldn't like those), but the comedy and slice-of-life shows like Lucky Star? I can see him enjoying Haganai and shows of that type because it's about a guy surrounded by attractive girls who want his dick, although he'd probably express some hatred for the MALE JERK. Lucky Star is about a bunch of girls doing literally nothing, so I think Chris would like it on the basis that it's a vague representation of what interacting with a female friend group might be like.

Old Chris would have loved harem shows, I guess. I could see him go for really bland fan-pandering shows.
So yeah, Lucky Star or something similar might be right up his alley.

Sadly, a great deal of Lucky Star's jokes are references to classic anime, so it would sail past him. However, Konata looks very young but is meant to be 18, so I feel like if he had watched that show in 2009 he'd have written her into Sonichu as a sort of Meg Griffin character.

Maybe he'd like Yuru Yuri? It's like a harem but with no guy and a lot of suggestive lesbian stuff (and it's shit, so it would get the CWC seal of approval)

Has Chris ever had chickenpox (or the vaccine for it)? I don't think Borb and Chris were ever invited to any chickenpox parties

What the arse is a chickenpox party? Doesn't sound like something that anyone would want to be at.

chris invented chickenpox along with autism

And homosexuality, which he invented just so he could cure it by injecting his blood into the water supply

Parents sometimes arrange play dates for their children with kids who came down with chicken pox to intentionally infect them with it. It's a common childhood illness that can be very dangerous for adults, so the conventional wisdom is that it's best to get it out of the way when they're little.

Not like that ever stopped him from enjoying anything. He'll just either inject his own meaning (that'll make no sense) or be distracted by the fancy bright colors.
But then again, the fact he enjoys MLP might hinge a lot on the "color-coded for your convenience" character-designs, so having to deal with a show where individual characters are broken down to unfamiliar stereotypes Chris doesn't understand alongside a design he can't read as easily might prevent him from really enjoying even some shallow anime like Lucky Star.

Well, the Lucky Star characters are colour-coded by their bright hair. Except the twins. He'd probably confuse the twins, or only ever refer to them as a collective because he isn't sure which is which. Honestly, I just want to hear how he pronounces "Tsukasa Hiiragi" and "Kagami Hiiragi".
