That dude paid real actual money for a gift for Chris and a night in a Ruckersville hotel... for the slim chance of meeting Chris. I feel like it's kind of a "never meet your idols" situation.

But what you have to keep in mind, is that all I did was drive three hours less then I would have, if I finished my trip yesterday. I also ended up saving $50 by staying at that hotel, opposed to the one i'm in right now. That $50 more than covers the cost of those cels and the frames for it. There was no wasted money on my behalf. I had to more or less drive relatively in the same direction to get to my final destination, East. Was the most optimal route? Nope, but was it worth the stop? Absolutely.

As for WHY I wanted to stop? I'll just reference my response in the other thread.

This whole trip, going a couple of hours out of my way to see the world that Chris has grown up in, it's a tourist attraction to me. Right on par with the rest of the wonders of the natural world, because this place blows my mind. There's so much there, there's so much to do, so many cool places to see or visit. But we have Chris, in this shallow little existence of his, oblivious to everything and everyone. To have been around from the early days of CWC to where it is now, I wouldn't exactly say that it's a dream come true, but it's like being offered the chance to go to Disney world. Only thing being, that when you go to Disney, the only ride you can go on, is 'Its a small world', and the animatronics have been replaced with smelly bums. We all know that it's going to be a shitty, miserable experience, but you can still say that you went to Disney.

At the end of the day, you do what you want to do and don't worry about other people too much. After all, everyone else here is at least reading and posting about Chris.

Oh, Im not worried. They just had a legitimate questiom that had been posed to those that have made visits, as to why. And without explaining things, it DOES sound like i was a complete sperg case in seemingly spending money unnecessarily.

Okay here's a scenario, Barb finally decides to kick Chris out of her house, You think Chris would be able to do fine by himself, or do you think He'll be a complete wreck?

I'll probably get piled with negative ratings for this, but can someone explain to me why people are so hyped to take "the CWC Tour" as it's called, or even to see Chris in person? Other than for curiosity's sake regarding what he now looks like, I don't really get it. When those two guys went down to see Chris's latest court happening, everyone was super hyped to see things like the inside of the Gamestop and the McDonalds Chris usually goes to. These things are only tangentially related to Chris, a fat autist who crossdresses and plays with Lego all day, but everyone was excited to see high-res photos of them as if they were wonders of the world. Hundreds of people are assaulted by Chris's gaudy clothing, obnoxious shrill voice and foul stench daily, but some people are willing to drive hours just for the possibility of that experience. I just don't see what the big return is on it :/
We had a lot of fun on that trip. Going by yourself might be lame, but if you got a buddy whose into CWC it's a LOT of fun. No one stepped up to attend the trial so we did. We took the day off work so why not make the most of it. Seeing all the Christorical locations (and following the man himself around) was great. I don't regret it.

I'm sure not everyone cared past "continued", and that's fine. Some people were genuinely interested in our photos and that was great. Sorry it wasn't as interesting to you as "chris updates his Facebook to acknowledge he watched a MLP episode". I'd go again in a heartbeat (probably check out those vineyards to be honest). I know this sounds corny but seeing christian in person really did change how i see him. Certainly more than arguing about how he spends his medallion money or if he's a real tranny day after day. It was a great experience and I'd recommend it to all. Maybe that opinion isn't homogenous on this forum, but people who always wanted to go there but live overseas or cross country seemed to enjoy it and I'm glad I could give them a little of that. Plus I got the pic of the now on sonichu.com so that was cool.

You are doing Godbear's work! My only regret is that the trial got postponed during your visit, I was really looking forward to some in-depth coverage.

If anyone calls you lame for doing this trip, they're retarded. All that matters was that you guys had fun. No one got hurt and we got some new content for the CWCiki so I'd call this a win-win. Seeing as I live over 10 hours away and won't be going to Virginia anytime soon, it was nice to read a firsthand account.

To piggyback on this comment, I'm wondering if the locals of Ruckersville are aware of the famous Manchild that lives amongst them? Or if Chris' fame is exclusively limited to the Internet?

Here's a thought: if the ghost of Christopher Chandler haunts the grounds of 14 BC, what about the ghosts of the other identities Chris has abandoned? Could (ironically enough) Jenkins Jenkies now be one of the spectral protectors of Patti's grave? What about the Smash Mouth-esque "regular joe" from Rollin' and Trollin'? Or perhaps the bizarre meta-ghost of Chris's own impersonation of Liquid Chris?

Ghosts rarely protect. They mostly haunt. In a way they're trolls. How could any ghost protect christian when it's so much more fun to troll him. We know the cats hated him. Snoopy and clover pretty much are prisoners of the chandlers. Basically what I'm saying is even if ghosts are real they hate negligent retards. Just saying how could you not hate being Christian's pet?

I like that you took a bunch of pictures of the locations. It adds a lot of context and update potential to the CWCki, if nothing else.

I think he would be ok. He understands the basics of living; food, shelter, bills, etc.

At this point I think that with Barb's hoarding and general craziness, she makes things worse. Chris would probably live in a bit of a mess if left on his own. But nothing like the hoard. She is constantly piling "responsibilities" on him. That doesn't help his quality of life at all. And her finances are in worse shape than his, so she is not adding much financially.

Oh, the locals know about Chris. Apparently Chris was called "Pokeboy" in one store, and he is banned from several locations. I doubt the Ruckersville Chamber of Commerce brings him up in meetings, but people know who he is.

What I'm not sure of is how many of those people are aware that Chris is pretty much the only thing most people know about their town -the CWCki describes the area as a redneck shithole that produces freaks.

If Rocky is still working at the church, Chris will be fine. Rocky would probably try to get Barb to take Chris back at first, but if Barb refuses to budge, Rocky would help Chris get an apartment and stuff.

After that, Chris would be fine.

Chris could definitely live on his own. Studio apartments can be less than $700 in his area. Granted the only reason he can afford it is due to his tugboat. As poor as Chris thinks he is, he's actually quite lucky to have a steady undeserved income every month. But of course I'm sure any appreciation is lost on him.

He could definitely get a small apartment. Would he be a shitty tenant? Would he still constantly run into problems? probably. He's better off with Barb looking out for him, on account of how much of a tard baby he is, but he could afford to live on his own.

Chris should do a lot of things, but he won't though unless there's no other option for him to take. Him living alone is going to be inevitable.

As for him being better off with Barb looking out for him, that is debatable. Barb was there for the Oct.28 incident (she also hit Snyder as well), and she was there in the mall during the pepper-spray dust up. She knew Chris was visiting places he shouldn't be but did nothing. While Chris won't have Barb restraining him, not that she does that much anyways, Chris will finally no longer have to deal with her toxic and manipulative ways.

I know it's a long shot, but he might actually improve once she's no longer around him.

Chris can do things a) if they are not particularly complicated and b) if he gets it into his head that they have to be done, no haggle. Both of those apply to paying bills and rent. Once you pay your bills and rent, you are 95% of the way towards functioning on your own.

There might well be problems, but they would be things like parking in someone else's spot or not tying up his garbage properly. Not the sort of things that makes someone have to live on the street.

I work at an inbound call center, and while I'm no longer responsible for answering the phone anymore I use to be. We don't get too many calls from VA, and most of the ones we do are in DC and the immediate area. However, I did get one call from someone in Charlottesville a couple years ago, and while we're not supposed to chat with our customers I couldn't resist asking if he knew or had heard of a guy named Christian Weston Chandler. I can't remember exactly what he said, but he was dimly aware that he existed, like one of his friends had told him about a crazy guy with a love sign at the mall.

One person's story doesn't matter much, and he probably isn't very well known outside of the internet. But there is at least some general knowledge of him locally.

Christian is gonna make at least one woman move out of that apartment complex, I guarantee it. That's more what I was referring to.

Why does Christian want a daughter and not a son? Is it sexual?
