Chris could be described as more eccentric than crazy back then. I mean, a lot of the stories at the Game Place and his interactions with Megan predate the trolling, and then we have the entire conflict with MLW. Chris was prone to dumb shit on his own. I dunno if the BLARMS crusade was incepted into his head by a random stranger, but the pepper spraying incident was definitely genuine. Chris seems to only become enraged when something challenges his ego or gets in the way of something he wants. That’s why the trolls overplayed the extent of Clyde/Liquid/Alec’s intentions to fuck Chris over. They’d create non-existent conflicts just to rile him up and other trolls posing as friends took it from there. Like Vivian, who was the same guy who played Clyde. Yeah it was pretty obvious that it was a troll construct. Same with the gay ads on the CWCipedia. Trolls artificially created conflicts for Chris and then admonished him when he vocalized disapproval. It was basically a form of entrapment. Remember when he was guilt tripped into driving all the way to Ohio to rescue a fake girlfriend from a fake arch-nemesis, only to end up in the ghetto? Or Kacey criticizing him for everything?
