This is a complex and high profile defense case. The only way to get Chris non state granted defense is to pony up a shit ton of money. American criminal defense is like American Healthcare. Everyone is guaranteed treatment. If you want to live you will pay what you owe.

Hmm who knows how many pets were still in that household. At a minimum, wasn't there around 5 cats? + 1 dog. Those are only the cats he told people about, not including any stragglers and feral cats around the house and he might have even had more we just don't know about that lived inside the hoard somewhere, heck I'm not even expecting Chris to know how many animals he had there all up in total.

That's a big ask for this "neighbour" who's going out of his way to spend time looking after these animals that he has no emotional connection to and are eventually going to have to leave that house soon one way or another, whether he knows what's happening to Chris/Barb or not.

Unless he wants to care for some in his house or knows people who want cats, they're just going straight to the pound, hopefully some of them end up in a no kill shelter which thankfully as some people have pointed out, Virginia has some.

So, while I have known of Chris for a while, the extent of my knowledge is that he was some weirdo who won a contest way back when, made some super-autistic comics, and somehow never improved artistically over years, and seemingly can't tell his comics from reality. Now that I've seen him go to jail, I'm curious.

What's the whole deal with chris? Why is he the way he is? Does he really not know whats real and what's not? Does he not realize he's a grown ass man? How did this all come to be?

In Book 6 of the Republic, Plato calls the children of 40+ year olds "children of darkness and strange lust" and says they should be killed after childbirth. Plato wpuld have taken one look at him and gone "yeah, should have killed him as a child."
