Yo this is not completely correct: the Women's Health and Cancer Rights Act of 1998 says that if your (applicable) insurance covered a mastectomy, it must also cover reconstruction, prosthesis, and/or altering an unaffected breast to match.

I always wondered why the trans didn't try to build off of that to argue that the government has enshrined the preferred presence of breasts as a right, but either they don't care enough about cancer to pay attention or they finally understood one single boundary of good taste and ethics and didn't want to touch it.

They do but if you were raped by a friend and forced to realise that you're either a bad judge of character or people are just that good at hiding who they are / what they're willing to do, how are you going to trust yourself to pick a good therapist? there are lots of bad ones out there.

I think the unspoken tragedy of stories like this is that there are just so many layers of fucked up things being done to her for 'help'. Then the euthanasia, and the how the story is just treated as another trans death and how we should celebrate her 41%ing are the cherry on top. After she died they all still have to refer to her as a man because we have to respect trans ideology, even if that identity was nothing but a coping mechanism for abuse, which in turned harmed her even more, and that lead to her eventual 'suicide by state'.

The system sees a hurt person, and our answer to it is to hurt them even more, and then kill them when they can no longer tolerate the pain we believe to be the cure. 'An inhumanly tragic story that ends humanely' of course, if this is a humane ending, I'd rather not be human. This genuinely made me MATI.

A lot of trans regret covering seems to be lacking in this awareness that oftentimes transitioning wasn't the answer, and the person doesn't even 'identify' with trans identity anymore, but we gotta keep reinforce that trans identity is permanent and nothing can go wrong with it.

I think it's funny how theres this thing in their community where they act like women are rapists toward them, that you gotta watch out because women might try to rape them on dates. It's funny. I think in the rare cases which they get harassed by a chaser, some chasers probably are quite pushy because they assume that Troons trooned out cause they are up for it.

I could also imagine that some “chasers” are gay men from cultures which have no tolerance for homosexuality, so when they see a troon, they think bingo!
But they will then proceed to behave like they would towards a western woman, assuming that the troon is just a free whore.

Thankfully though I have found a group of people that I can talk about my interests without the conversation going into "These characters are so queer/trans coded!" Honestly, it's not so much that they're in these spaces, but moreso how dominate they are in it. Like 90% of shipping is either gay or both characters are trans in the relationship.
