What exactly is the Cass Review? I've searched that term on here and haven't found a clear explanation.

Title: Independent Review of Gender Identity Services for Children and Young People: Final Report
Authors: Dr. Hilary Cass (Chair) et al.
Publication Date: April 2024
Source: NHS England
Peer Review Status: Not specified, but references peer-reviewed sources.

Background:
Commissioned by NHS England in 2020 to address growing concerns about gender identity services, this review responds to rising referrals, changing patient demographics, and insufficient evidence supporting current clinical approaches.

Key Findings:
  • Rising Demand: Referrals to gender services have surged since 2009, especially among birth-registered females in adolescence, often with co-occurring neurodiversity and mental health challenges.
  • Evidence Gaps: There is limited high-quality research on puberty blockers, masculinizing/feminizing hormones, and long-term outcomes. Psychological and social interventions remain underexplored.
  • Clinical Approach: A cautious, individualized framework is needed, focusing on holistic care, including mental health, social, and family support alongside medical options where appropriate.
  • Service Model: Advocates for a regional, distributed care model to reduce waiting times and provide more accessible, multidisciplinary support.
  • Research Needs: Calls for a comprehensive research program to evaluate interventions, outcomes, and the characteristics of gender-questioning young people.
  • Ethical Considerations: Stresses the importance of respecting diverse experiences and avoiding polarized debates, which hinder progress in care and research.

Conclusion:
The report underscores the urgency of evidence-based, personalized care for gender-questioning children and young people, while addressing significant service and research gaps.

Basically, the UK commissioned this doctor to do a full-scale review on the available evidence for what we're doing to kids. Surprise, surprise, there isn't a strong evidence base. The clinics don't even keep records good enough to know (wonder why) and I think some had to be sued to even provide them to Dr. Cass.

They had to throw out tons of tests due to being so poorly performed that the results weren't significant. Naturally, the troons went insane, making up shit that was never in the report and battering straw men. And they all would repeat it everywhere.

Is there a thread for troon revisionist history here? Pretty soon it'll be, "And that's one small step for a trans.." or some bullshit.

I really need to lighten up and stop internalizing everyones issues.
These people bite every hand that tries to feed them, its their own fault for their life going to shit. Ive been through so much yet I take accountability, I try to improve.

I just need to stop having a savoir complex and stop feeling guilt over these NPCs.
They deserve mockery, and to feel negative/upset over them is letting them win.
In my case where you know some of these people personally, it doesnt matter. They chose to wallow in their own self pity and I can assure you that they would never offer anyone the same support they demand from others. Thats the thing with these people, its all about how they feel. All about them, their image, how they are seen, etc.

Surviors guilt is a bitch but especailly when it comes to addiction.
But just remember, they made their decision. They fucked their life up, they had all these people willing to care for them yet they decided none of those people mattered, they pushed everyone away as long as it went against their own ego. You cant fix a narcisstic person, and addicts are inherently narcissitic.

A thing I've heard from a sorta kinda handmaideny type in my social circle recently, when the topic of rotdogs in particular came up: "The way people talk about it, you'd think it was the only horrible surgery." Words to that effect, at least. The conversation wasn't so direct, but it was enough to get this as a response. I find myself wondering if this is just going to be the new cope, or if it's an attempt to square away the dissonance that comes from understanding just what's involved in getting a fake wangus attached. Hoping it's the latter, because it might mean an opening to peel this one away from the whole cult, but the way she said it sounded like it was almost rote repetition of something she'd read.

How do people do this? They look at something so utterly disgusting as a mentally ill person getting extreme cosmetic surgery and say "this is good, this is healthy, we should support it".

They just never see the reality. Many normies who were aboard the pro-trans bandwagon until recently talk about this. They only see the surface-level shit filtered through the veil of toxic positivity that the activists and media present, and normal people being as naive as they are just assume "Well if any of the really bad stuff were true, surely someone in charge would have put a stop to all this a long time ago!" Hell, a lot of people still believe "brain sex" is some super well-studied thing with a wealth of highly methodologically-sound, peer-reviewed evidence backing it up because they just assume that if it wasn't, it would have been some huge news story by now.

They don't usually see the horrifically botched SRS pictures let alone enough to see how common it is / how dissatisfying the results are even when troons try so hard to cope with what they got out of it, they don't see the troons saying the quiet parts out loud in their little hug boxes on Reddit and Discord, they don't actually read the studies or look at the methodologies and see what bullshit they are. They don't dig into the WPATH website themselves. They trust media headlines when they see anyone who tries to speak out being smeared as a NEO-NAZI and roll their eyes and remember the evangelical right trying to blame video games for school shootings and think "Oh, it's just this same Christian fundy shit again." They don't actually read the never-ending horror stories from detransitioners and SRS-regretters, or know who tf people like Chris-Chan and Yaniv are and see the lunacy of people defending them as being true and honest women. They don't hear the countless stories of insane trauma or sexual deviancy that often precede people's descent into trooning out. When a story comes out about an MTF raping a woman in what's supposed to be a single-sex space, they roll their eyes and assume the "far-right" is making up silly bigoted fairy tales again, and they don't feel the need to even humor it by looking into it let alone putting in the effort to verify it for themselves.

People have a blind trust in media and the academic world, and they don't bother to look any deeper than an incredibly surface level understanding of issues, and TRAs make sure that the really damning stuff never falls into the field of view of the average normie's short attention span. People don't usually snap out of it until they see it unfold in their daily lives, with their own friends or family members, or some wacky co-worker who always had something a little off about them but becomes more and more unhinged right before their eyes.

That's the most frustrating thing to me -- a lot of the (at least relatively) normal people who still support this shit do so because they've been taught to genuinely believe this is reducing harm to vulnerable people, when it's the exact opposite. Their moral foundation (a la Jonathan Haidt) is pegged solidly to the Care/Harm foundation, but if they could JUST get the reality of all this shoved in front of their faces in a way they can't deny based on their own morality, support for gender ideology would evaporate overnight. There would still be plenty of troons kicking and screaming for another few decades probably (the narc AGPs especially), but no institution would be able to enable traumatized women and girls, socially-awkward outcasts, incels, self-hating gay people and others with severe mental health issues butchering and forever sterilizing themselves anymore.

I think I may give this one a shot now, thanks!
It's supposed to be awful. Even the woke sites were like, "I'm rooting for the 'brave and stunning' lead, but not anyone anything else in the movie because it sucks."

Anyway, the lead "actress" troon posted racist shit on Twitter and complained about how "woke" the Oscars are a few years ago, so they're turning against him too.

The movie is crazy. I watched it, if anything I rooted for the stronk girl boss lawyer in the beginning, but then they basically made her a sycophant of the tranny.
2 or 3 musical numbers were really good actually, so good, they made me a little feels for the wasted effort on part of the actors and crew. It's also pretty strange in the woke department, the troon basically makes your skin crawl, either whoever wrote it, has NO self awareness, which would be the ultimate, psychological nightmare fuel, or they were beeing cheeky with it and actually did troons, like the lead, dirty on purpose: The cartel boss basically uses the skinwalking ruse, to get to his OWN victims and milks their empathy, to feed something like a savior complex, by him helping to find the unmarked graves of their loved ones murdered by the cartel - he victimizes everyone twice, basically - the whole second half basically makes your skin crawl - not only that he's, of course, a
"lesbian": He abondons his loving wife and kids, then wants them back and larps as a cousin of himself, taking them in, amongst other things, he uses this to question his former wife's fidelity and when he finds out she has her own life with a new drug dealer lover, he has the lover beat up and driven out of the city. In the end, they both and the troon die in a car crash while being chased by the troon's henchmen - but, to whitewash the movie, it's of course the wife who grabs the steering wheel, when she realizes that the giantess hostage in their trunk, who froze all her bank accounts, is her former kingpin - because true love of something. Again, it's mixed messaging to the hilt, you can see what you wanna see, but if you root for the troon, you're basically a psychopath - the movie is like a litmus test.

Better summary.

It's bad except for a few dance numbers.

Classic feminine response
Basically that movie is two films in one:
It's birth of a nation for delusional, middle aged hons and Jud Süß for us "haters".

If you don't see it through their lens, but actually understand how it's about a killer moid skinwalking himself into his victim's and (ex-)women's trust, without actually bettering himself - you realize that it's actually so over the top, you can't take it serious from that angle either. That's why no one likes it.

This is getting touted as the “reasonable” position, but it seems clear to me that there should be areas of life where people are allowed to openly discriminate against troons. An easy one is employment. It’s a distraction and embarrassing for the company if 45 year old John shows up in a dress and wig one day and interacts with clients. It should be acceptable for an employer to say this shit isn’t allowed at work, same as how other employees have to follow a professional dress code and can’t show up in a dog costume.
Yeah but then you get troons who despite looking like a line backer try to wear a sun dress.

Reactions: Aunt Carol
This is interesting, it's the woman who runs the Children Of Transitioners website, whose dad trooned out in the late 70s who raised her alone, as her mum was badly mentally ill, til age 18 in 1989.

Im just watching it now and she shows a little troon zine from the 80s.
The way she describes it is so much like cult survivors experiences.

Being trans is a fucking existential nightmare.

These are are cherry picked comments that got a "wtf" out of me; most are, well, not more normal but certainly not as extreme as some of these ones. Lot of people don't necessarily see their original selves as separate entities, but a lot do, in some form or another.

Common themes include feeling empty/disassociation as kids, depression, confusion, repression (especially the homo-in-denial type), and, interestingly, an inability to access or a disconnect from memories of their youth. (Pretty common symptom for abuse, isn't it?)

Anyway. When someone troons out, seems like it's good odds that even they don't believe they're "the same person, but trans" when they try to comfort their grieving loved ones. Creepy body snatcher shit.
Literal evil spirits talking about their victims. Wicked, demonic misfits destroying God's creation. Stay in the light, friends, darkness has no power there.

For a while I have been convinced that the trans stuff is the work of literal demon/s. I feel like theres some hermaphroditic/gynomorphic demonic entity with an inordinate amount of sway on the real world exerting influence through the net in order to create converts/representatives. I haven't found anything in demonology close to what I'm talking about though, and I don't really feel like digging.

Also, according to traditional Catholic exorcist priest, Fr. Chad Ripperger, the demon of homosexuality in men is Asmodeus.
