Showed up on my dash today... The notes have a few people calling them out but a lot of others egging them on in that weird 'black tumblr' speak, it's bizarre.

If you thought the fact that the Orlando shooting primarily being a gay hate crime would make Tumblr show a goddamn modicum of sensitivity and respect and not an opportunity to play oppression olympics; you clearly don't know Tumblr very well.

I'm pretty sure it's about otherkin/fictionkin race drama. Tons of white kids identify as POC or "POC-coded" characters, which in turn pisses off the race radicalists. And so the ouroboros known as the kin community starts to eat itself.I literally cannot understand that last post. Not in the way of like "Oh, haha! These crazy people say the darndest things" but in the most literal way possible of "what the fuck is this person actually trying to communicate."
Can someone please explain the white kids post to me?

It's the former. They don't like white kids pretending to be black or Japanese or insert popular race of the month here. I mean, not that that'll stop them from simply claiming they're like 1/8th Japanese or whathaveyou to avoid pissing off the precious pee oh sees anywayOk, so essentially some white kids pretend to be some black people/fantasy black people, and when they are open about the fact that they aren't black, some black people throw a temper tantrum? Is it because they are white people pretending to be black people, or is it simply because they are open about it to the kin community? Please excuse me, I am retarded.
Way to fulfill a racist stereotype, dumbass.![]()

The third post makes no fucking sense. Being white is seen as uncool to kids nowadays, from what I've seen.
"There are people who have faced racialized traumatization at the hands of dogs or other animals?" ....What? (Also wouldn't that be "paws?") (Spellcheck hated that quotation)
Welp, it's starting. (Actually the drama started well over a year before this movie's release date. There's just more of it now.)
I just feel like tumblr is trying to force everyone back to square one when it comes to racism. They want all races to be very separate. "Just because they look like you doesn't mean you can relate to them in any way, shape or form!" I dunno. It just creeps me out.
Also, I got most of these from one person. (Kind of a personal lolcow for me.) This girl was boasting about how she wasn't going to pay Moana any mind, back when it was announced. That she wouldn't partake in any of it and that she wasn't excited because it was 'problematic'. Now she's saying that it is exciting for her and that she's going with her family to see it. She wants to hate it because it's 'bad' but she also wants to support it and the people in it and be happy that Polynesians are getting representation. She wants boths sides, everything at once. It is so confusing but mostly amusing.
Having a character that happens to be the same race as you gets you makes you feel less insecure about yourselves? Seriously?Welp, it's starting. (Actually the drama started well over a year before this movie's release date. There's just more of it now.)

Apparently it is. I thought that person didn't know how to spell anything. So, is 'pasifika' an actual word that Pacific Islanders use, or is it one of those latinx things?
I don't know who's worse in the Disney "fandom": either the kids who bitch about everything being racist, or the folks like Disneyfan and Maxi-Goof with their husbandos.
No. It's use to make them sound "hard and idgaf", but they're usually crying. What is it with them and overusing "lmao"? Are they really laughing their asses off that much?
