At the risk of turning a joke post into a serious debate, I think toddler harnesses are a great idea. Little kids are great at vanishing given the slightest opportunity.

Well yeah, you're entirely correct, if the situation calls for it. A leashed harness was a godsend for my relative's active toddler in Manhattan. People knee-jerk against leashes for children because they can't handle that their precious angel is still an animal that needs protection. I could spend a long time explaining but I'm sure you already understand their poor logic. It's a weirdly specific thing I've always felt strongly about.

Also hello, this is my first post and I'm excited to be here.

Still the best pony.

So recently, people in the Carmilla fandom are getting outraged over an in-character tweet. Carmilla is a webseries adaptation of the vampire novel which uses the lonelygirl webcam format to tell its story in a modern way. It's very popular with the Tumblrs. Anyway, the vampire has a twitter account and she made a tweet jokingly calling another character an 'imp with OCD'. Now everyone is OUTRAGED by this casual ABLEISM!!!

I'm having a panic attack... But first let me take a selfie!
The backlash to that scene on tumblr was fucking hilarious.

It's fucking Ramsey Bolton. He has shown himself to be nothing but a sick, sick bastard who gets his fun by being a murderous brute who likes torturing people. If you were expecting something not horrible, you haven't been watching the same show.

This blog is a gold mine
I love weird pony shit, it's fucking hysterical.

so is Applejack God

Bible teachers often compare scripture to fandom to help people understand it better. It's...hit-or-miss. I had to make a lot of similar connections in middle school English; I know these things.

Not a specific Tumblr post, but something I noticed. Has anyone else noticed that a lot of Tumblrina URLs follow a certain pattern? They start by picking some special snowflake gender or self-diagnosed neurological condition, and then they follow it by the name of whatever character they're most obsessed with. And it doesn't matter if it makes sense for the character or not; they'll still insist that whatever character they've picked is trans/autistic/BPD/asexual/whatever. Just today, I found one blog with the URL "nonbinaryvictorzsasz". For those not familiar with the Batman comics, this is Victor Zsasz:

I am strongly tempted to make a blog with a URL like that, except with an actual physical illness like mumps or typhoid fever instead of a personality disorder. Then when people start ragging on me for trivializing mental illnesses/gender identity, I'll act a simpleton and claim that I get sick a lot and just wanted to fit in.
