Tumblr has before demonstrated they think fiction has some humongous affect on the real world. They can't fathom that something could be okay in fiction but not in real life. An 18 year old with a 35 year old wouldn't fly in the real world, but they don't understand the separation of fiction versus reality. Oddly enough, characters that are villains and murders and shit that they love, they claim they wouldn't approve of the actions in the real world and it's just a show so they can love them.

If Blizzard listed off all the sexualities of all the characters, the fandom would implode in on itself because some ships wouldn't be canon and others could, and it would devolve into a giant, crying, screaming clusterfuck.

That's why they'll never reveal it.

Because you couldn't handle it.

I think it's mostly because it's just really not important to what overwatch is. The people who wrote the characters probably didn't take this into account at all.

The more I see of otherkin, the more I think they're absolute fucking cancer. Especially after what happened with nshrine. They're not persecuted minorities--they're a bunch of fucked-up social outcasts that think they're entitled to some level of popularity and attention without being an interesting enough person to earn it.

They're infuriating for transsexuals because they try to use the existence of gender dysphoria as a claim that "species dysphoria" exists when species dysphoria is not neurologically possible.

They are like the equivalent of the pedos who are trying to champion pedo rights and latch onto the LGBT movement. In the case of both, the retort given by actual homophobes/transphobes about the group wanting acceptance (LGBT) will open the door for people wanting to fuck children or trying to transition to animals. But they are unfortunately proven right with the recent trend of "acceptance no matter what" the far left circle-jerk has going on, because pedos and otherkin see it as their opening to latch onto something in an attempt to feel vindicated. (:_(

The funny thing with otherkin, aside from the absurdity inherent in their cancerous stupidity, has to do with a particular form of double-think. Many of them claim that otherkin is a spiritual thing and they're mentally healthy/not crazy/etc. But then they turn around and say that anyone criticizing otherkin is ableist and hating on the mentally ill and that it's a coping mechanism. So, which is it? :P

But there are jewish characters in media. I'd say they appear more than Christian characters in general (the protagonists in these things are always presented as oddly agnostic bc writers don't wanna insult christian parents/atheists- check Christmas episodes where they dedicate time to talk about Kwanzaa and Hanukkah but Christmas just gets relegated to Santa Claus and presents, like Jesus is taboo to mention in kid's media all of a sudden).

Kitty Pryde, Ben Grimm, Magneto, Schmendrick the Magician...Ring a bell anyone?
