Allow me to talk some inside baseball here for a second.

I've actually done that with at least one user on this forum that proved to be completely unreasonable and belligerent. He was demanding that I left his thread ban while simultaneously hurling insults at me when I wasn't even aware of the thread he was banned from. He reached out to me because he was mod shopping and I guess he hoped that I would just go in and unban him without looking into why he was banned, so when I told him no, he went from enticing me with juicy gossip to calling me an idiot for not wanting this juicy gossip that he probably didn't actually have.

What was interesting was that he treated my "I'll unban you if you post nudes" challenge as a serious offer, and thought I was retarded for thinking he would ever do that, like I actually wanted his nudes and didn't just try and throw a ridiculous challenge at him to drive the point home that he wasn't going to be unbanned.

Also I wanted to see just how desperate he really was to get back in.

Honestly if you feel like your principles are so fragile that entering a debate with a fucking neo Nazi could wind up converting you to joining their ranks, you don't have any principles to begin with.

Michael "Neck Boy" Isaacson believes that will happen even if you are taught a course on fascism by someone who hates fascism. He advises a cult deprogramming after being exposed to the incredibly compelling writings of fascists.

Of course, he might be right, if he were the repellent, disgusting person teaching it, because someone might decide fascism looks better than whatever the fuck Neck Boy is on.
