Gladys Bentley and Annie Handle were two New York based performers, and Gladys was part of the Harlem Renaissance.

There's honestly not much I can say about this one aside from the saggy ass, which may have just been the model (Life Drawing classes purposely hire a shit ton of people with different body types). The real mistake here is a problem you see a lot in first time Life Drawing classes, in that the artist accidentally made the body too squat (thus making it look like its been artificially stretched out and squashed down). Makes the figure look like either a child or a midget. I think at least half of your average first time Life Drawing classes makes this particular mistake. If she's proud of it, that's pretty funny, but its mostly just 'meh'.

It's entirely possible she had some of the exact same teachers Rebecca Sugar had, and picked up a lot of the same concepts of design. So she was taught in some fashion to think this was quality design.

I would agree with this, but Rebecca Sugar went to the School of Visual Arts in NYC, not Cal arts. One of the creators with the Cal arts style in recent times that didn't migrate from the school for guaranteed successes. Still, Rory's no Rebecca Sugar, never will be, and will definitely fall to rock bottom if she doesn't get her head out of her ass. Her figure drawing is still shit and will continue to be, as long as she shows no desire to receive criticism and not take it personal.

Personally I'm not so bothered by the School of Tumblr cod-Steven Universe anatomy as I am by the faces. Yeah, the chunky bodies are both incredibly weird and extremely generic, but those faces God damn. First it was Cap's eternal bimbo pout, then it was basically everything else. There's 'stylized', and then there's 'just plain fucking lazy', and this is very definitely the latter. I mean, look at these fucking things.

As for Rory, she really is deluded if she thinks it's not painfully obvious she has a bimbo FTM fetish. She's even more deluded if she thinks that her "representation" isn't genuinely offensive and idiotic.
