Long time no see, farmers.

I have not said much about Rory for awhile, but plenty of people at CalArts are pretty disgusted with Rory right now. The funny thing is I have had multiple classmates finding out who she is only recently thanks to the situation at hand right now. Other than that plenty of people know her as "That person that draws Captain America porn".

I know we are the butt of plenty of jokes on the internet, but even people at CalArts don't like her art. It is astounding how they embody the very stereotype of "CalArts Style" while being the only person at CalArts that I have seen thus far to actually draw like that.

Wait, so she's getting backlash at the college for this too? Do any of her teachers know? Did any of the staff there even bother to sit her down and talk anatomy with her? Or is everyone just officially avoiding her now.

Not really. This is not something faculty would get involved with since it's petty internet drama. I am not in any of Rory's classes or know of anyone that is as close as I expected with Rory, so I am not sure if anyone has actually spoken with Rory. I don't think anyone wants to deal with any of this garbage to be quite honest.

I made a whole new account just to keep up with this freakin chick again.
  1. Why does she draw all latino/hispanic characters as short, hairy, womanizing skeezeballs?
  2. Finn's face.
  3. Also making the black character overly big/masculine/buff. John Boyega IRL looks nothing like that. He's athletic, but more average built than a lot of hollywood actors. It's part of his charm.
  4. She titled it with 'princess au' - because labeling something like that as 'princess' isn't creepy for a ship of a gay couple or with a supposed trans man involved.
  5. Also a friend pointed out, look at the proportions of Mammy Two Shoes and 'Mammy' dresses in general. The way Finn is drawn + the dress:

Relooking at her art, there's just no excuse for how she was THIS BLIND to not be able to tell she was going way off track.
Like with the Childish Gambino x Ariana Grande art, we can compare that to when she did this community study in May 2017

In the first, yeah she's still giving every black person she can mammy lips, but at least you could actually argue it's her 'style' albeit an ugly one. It really makes you think what happened for her to go from "black people have all shades of lips, sometimes the bottom is pink" to "I have to make every brown person possible look a minstrel cartoon so I can be Different."
