i am not really surprised that a lot of transtrender artists are fetishists.
before trans became popular, i remember in the anime community it was a big thing among yaoi fangirls to finger themselves to male characters in dresses fucking each other. also with the seme/uke shit they put very feminine roles on the uke (submissive).
trans is the next biggest thing, it just so happens that they get PC brownie points for jerkin to it now.

Yaoi is also generally written by women, with the uke role being sort of like Bella from Twilight- the readers are supposed to insert themselves into that character's shoes.

that looks much better. i might try something later as well.
honestly, giving a trans guy, particularly a pre-op trans guy, some slightly more realistic features isn't a bad thing. maybe wider hips(subtle and in MODERATION- learn to use it rory), or possibly drawing them wearing a binder or something would get the idea across. i've seen trans male headcanons done tastefully and not shoehorned ridiculously into the image. if it's realism the artist is going for, why not base your character off of a trans guy instead of what looks to be a female pornstar or bimbo fetish art?

It would be more likely she'd start calling herself "trans masculine" or a "demiboy". (These both really mean "I have some boyish traits but I'm fine being a girl".)
There's a cohort of tumblr to whom trans men are just literally the worst thing, have infinite male privilege, deserve to be mocked and have their dysphoria triggered, and are generally pathetic filth -- as opposed to trans women, who these people generally depict as perfect queens. (Omg yaaas slaaaay)
In essence the ideas of "kill all the men" and varied anti-male sentiments got, illogically, extended to cover trans guys, making that a risky identity to claim.
Most of that anti-FTM stuff ended up being targeted at the more "normal" guys who explicitly identified themselves as "I'm just an average dude with a medical condition". These guys were labeled as "truscum", "binarist" (supporting the idea that there's really only 2 genders) or "dyadist" (about the same). The logic there was "Ugh, you want to assimilate with the cissies? Eww!! We're trying to form a perfect good queer society!"
Oooh and my favorite was "trans medicalist", used to insult trans guys who wanted and sought medical treatment to aid the symptoms of dysphoria. Because omg ur trans body is perfect just the way it is love urself why would u ever submit to white cis male doctors--
Basically if you act like a regular human being, you're just bending to the will of The Man and therefore must hand in your trans card.
Things have probably changed since I was around all this bullshit, but it sounds like "boys are icky" is still pretty current.
