I think it has more to do with there being so much hype so far away from its actual release date that when it did hit theatres everyone just kinda forgot about it and there wasn't enough people talking about it on tumblr because of that and therefore not a whole lot of content for people to be reminded about.

Rory mentioned something about "red and blue gays"?? which definitely includes those two characters. Looking at her old art before Steve and Tony she drew a lot of bw things and there's a few pictures of those two together
I don't recall Dan being a such a woobie in the show.

it's so difficult to comment on rory's art without going full a-log. i hate everything about it. i hate rory, i hate the gross bee sting samefaces, i hate the blob feet, i hate how all the characters just float, i hate how canonically skinny characters are drawn fat for no reason and how rory makes peeyocees way darker than they are in canon. because yknow. a person of color isnt a real person of color unless their skin is super dark and highly saturated with a terrible color scheme.Rory mentioned something about "red and blue gays"?? which definitely includes those two characters. At the very least, Rory hides his feminine traits after the character starts to transition into a male. How long that will last, I don't know, but credit where credit is due I suppose.
The bodies don't bother me that much in the top image; I think they would work in a comic. But the faces just look like bowling balls.
