Artcow rcdart / Rory Cummings-Dise - Tranny Fetishist who Torpedoed a Potential Animation Career

If she actually marketed her art as being unattractive and ugly she might get some kind of niche audience, but her head's so far up her own ass I don't think that's gonna happen.
Even the people who draw ugly and grotesque artwork have more detail and a better understanding of anatomy than rory. (Ex: lookup artist facerot)

Honestly, there's nothing wrong with having an "ugly" art style. It's just that how Rory draws and acts are both pretty rotten.
Say, any new art from dear Rory?

I get the need for some, but not all, artists bumping up their prices because there are a lot that truly deserve that, but Rory, from what we are seeing now, does not. If you throw $40 in a commission of two characters, the finished product better be clean and tidy. Who would want a shitty lump of sketchy shapes sloppily colored for $40? It doesn't have to be a painting sent from the fucking gods, but Jesus, at least try to give these people art worthy of their money.

looks like ror's trying their hand at commissions, who wouldn't want to throw $30-40 to some brat in exchange for a sloppily created shape monster? it's a shame she's not doing nsfw, would've loved to commission some nasty bimbo fetish porn progressive transman cap x iron man art

What a scam, there are tons of artists on tumblr who will draw better for less than those prices, and who don't have the shitty attitude rory does

That's just embarrassing. I see commish shit on my dash all the time and the quality that she's presenting here is something you'd normally see people asking like, TEN BUCKS for. Fifteen at most. 30-40 bucks is usually the territory of full body with a background, not some shitty doodle. That's just...damn.

The general suggestion for pricing art is about twenty dollars per hour of work for artists that have a moderate amount of skill and fans that are interested in commissioning them. That rate should be raised or lowered depending on demand, skill level, time constraints, etc. At least that's what I gather from looking up advice from other artists that do commissions.

So for someone looking to pay for art, they should look for something that looks like it has at least an hour's work put into it if they're dropping down more than twenty bucks.

The example pieces Rory has for those prices look like quick sketches. There's not a lot of detail, no shading, nothing that looks like it'd take more than twenty minutes to draw and the coloring isn't even clean. Unless it took 5 minutes to draw each line, those sketches really ought to be, like, ten to fifteen dollars.

Rory, if you want to get paid well for your work put some damn effort into it.

She can't even be arsed to typo check her commission post ("$15 per etra char").

But yeah, that's just... wow. Even by her standards, those are some really rushed-looking pieces. The pencil sketches she put as examples look less sloppy, but still not worth the price she's put on them.

On a side note, she retweeted this regarding the Manchester bombings which gave me pause:

I think the Daily Mail is shite too, but come on, read the actual headline before you start reeing.

For the artists I see advertising themselves on tumblr, $20 is about standard for a single character, full body, no (or simple) background, flat color. But that also implies a general look of being cleaned up and finished.

I agree with you; I wouldn't pay more than $10 for any of the samples she's shown, and that's being generous. That shit looks like she scribbled it half asleep while watching Netflix.
