I don't you're gettin my point here. We have threads on people who actually believe in white supremacy and etnostates. Rory is a trans feticist yes, but she clearly isn't racist; she's just unable to draw anyone that doesn't look like herself, just like anyone else on tumblr (the amount of minority stereotypes in the sjw art thread would look scandalous even for a blackface comedian)
Racist is an heavy accusation. You should give words their proper weight, but then again, many of you clearly come from tumblr and breathe callout culture so, uh, you do you I guess

Racism comes in degrees of severity tho, but its still racism. Sometimes you meet a David duke, sometimes its the guy at work that thinks immigrants should get out of the neighborhood, sometimes its a sheltered kid that subconciously (?) seems to pays homage to A. Wyatt Mann. though I agree that theres a pretty big difference between a proud advocate of ethic cleansing and a tumblr artist, i dont think anyone here would honestly call Rory worse than the KKK.

You can do a racist act without being all about 1488 , just like you can kick a ball into a goal without being zlatan ibrahimovic

People have approached her and pointed out that she's reinforcing negative stereotypes with her 40s-esque caricatures.

When people pointed out that drawing a Mexican woman as a fat, hairy womanbeast was, y'know, a bad thing, she just laughed her pasty ass off and said "lul but i'm mexican so it's okay!"

Trying to disguise her kinks as progressive art is what shot her in the foot, plus attaching it to her real name. She dug her grave so now she gets to lie in it. If she'd just been up front about the whole "This isn't progressive it literally just gets me hot and heavy." I don't think there would have been half as much backlash.

Anyway Rory fucked up and she's paying for it. She might not have been purposely racist but she sure as hell drew black guys like gollywogs and Mexicans like hairy womanbeasts, all while slapping her real name to it. It's her own fault lol.

I think Rory took her lessons on "simplifying" characters to look more cartoony waaay too far with racist looking caricatures - but since she's in calarts she must "know better" so she doesn't have to listen to other people online cause "they can't even hold a pencil lololololol". That's the only explanation I can come up with her basically ignoring everybody who points out that hairy Mexican women, big tittied transmen or black people looking like big lipped gorillas is really fucked up.

Also, do y'all think she's gonna pull a marshmallowfury and just....disappear from the online art community forever? (I know its kinda chain breaky, but dang, this is the longest Rory hasn't been active online, right?)

Doubtful. She's more than likely trying to cover her ass at school and hoping that people will forget about it.

I don't believe for a hot second that Rory is Mexican. She's pasty as hell and doesn't know a lick of Spanish.

My bet is that the mom with the surname Dise is a stepmom or otherwise biologically unrelated to her. She probably lied that she was Mexican to CalArts admissions to get affirmative action.

@goma it is true that there are a lot of very light Mexicans- and south americans. I remember somebody theorizing that she could be adopted??? So that would explain why she's never spoken Spanish before (that we've seen, anyway).
Also, I remember a picture of her floating around in the threads before, and if memory serves right, she looks lighter than some of the people who are wonder bread white. She needs a god damn tan.
