God damnit it took me two hours to beat. I was really close one time and died in the rape basement. And yeah the foyer is a nightmare, it feels like a dice toss if you have any chance of killing everyone before being shot in turn. In the end I settled for doing as much as I can from the upper floor and then moving from outside on the first so no one is pinned, and even then I had one officer down (incapacitated at least).
My strat was

Go through the 3rd floor and clear it out go down stairs and wedge the door (to prevent ambush) downstairs and then wrap around to the 2nd floor.

After clearing out the 2nd floor and reigning terror above the rape room and side garden (I forgot to demonstrate in the floor plan) my duo just kept people under wraps.

Then after clearing out this part with help from the 2nd floor with beanbags and pepper the game is relatively done unless the nigga in the rape basement with a p90 rapes your ass it .happened twice to me (I usually cleared out the basement near the pool)
Strats that failed trying to do two floors with two people my duo had the RoN equivelent of guts vs 100 people never again and Bottom floor to up failed cause the rape room is the rape room

So, after having torrented and played through one of the DLCs (not gonna bother with the 2nd), I have to say. Ye, glad I didnt buy this POS, because holy shit fuck this game so hard.

The whole reason RoN got so popular in the first place was that it was essentially a "real-life horror game", where heinous shit that has actually happened is presented in a relatively stark and uncompromising way. It might be a little sensationalized, edgy, or over-the-top at times and at other times they could've gone even further, but it's effective. It's not Postal 1 or anything, but it the game definitely sticks with you. Stripping out those elements is like ripping its heart out, almost literally.
I'm sure modders will have me covered, if nothing else.

Something specific to the DLC or the game in general? 10 bucks for a 3 map DLC is pretty bullshit. And at least in my experience pirating the full game, the squadmate AI is still too atrocious for a post-beta full price game. I get that you need them to be dumb so the game could funnel you into the per level LOOK AT THIS room, but what's the point of even pretending they are anything besides glorified meat shields?

The whole horror aspect is overstated. You could switch any map to being in a grey office building and nothing really changes because it might as well be a walking simulator with the miniscule amount of environment and character interaction.

Like yeah, some sights are haunting, but most of the horrific shit is just getting out of the designated tourist zones in second world countries.

The game in general, the DLCs were just the final straw. I didnt bother with the Dark Water after trying the yacht mission, after seeing it had the active shooter BS from the college shooter mission, I just went "nope, fuck off". But honestly, everything about this game feels half arsed, the enemy AI having no chill and crazy aim (specially from meatheds), maps being way too huge with only a few offers to different entry points, the needless amount to needing to be edgier than the last mission (thus places like the nightclub and hospital lose impact and you start to notice how slapdash this stuff is put together), the weird need to establish certain groups and after two missions theyre just gone. Also, the final mission with that container that goes nowhere as the game just ends.

It feels like the case of the devs being spurred on by the audience to keep developing the lore and increasing the edginess, but not having an actual point to go into. The huge maps were also pointless escalation that just makes every try waste more time, especially when you need to interact with the AI so you won't get insta killed by a wandering enemy that is completely silent and reacts to you immediately on sight from dozens of meters in perfect accuracy.

The final mission container was just the usual "The USA government are the real bad guys" slop that media likes to do. Except rather than go with the more realistic cases of funneling guns/drugs to try and control gangs, the devs put women in a container because MUH HECKING SEX TRADE is a far easier thing to demonize the feds.

I really don't understand people that think characters like the guys making weapons and selling to gangs deserve pity because their mother have cancer. All the morality is ridiculous.

New update has dropped. In the end, PC gets censored following the official release for consoles.

There is already a Mod on nexus that should revert 99% of these changes, though it might bring it's own bugs into the mix, use with some caution but I doubt any issues it has are game breaking.
(Mod has Adult content, so you'll need a Nexus account to view it.)

Also, was it me or were some enemies really bullet spongy? Specially guys that didnt even wear vests, but could still take half a mag from an assault rifle with rounds that were meant to penetrate heavy body armor.

I also wanna know what was the point of two rando NOT CIA guys being there, you have that crazy unibomber guy and the chick leading the feminist cult.

It's hard to tell but definitely some enemies shrug a lot of damage even in unprotected areas.

As for the NOT CIA, it's mainly lore crafting that the player character went for MKULTRA style regime for... Reasons? There isn't really anything you do particularly well, or have the game force you into moral choices. At most it's the tenth billion FPS doing the fourth wall shit of the game itself indoctrinating you/you are the one forcibly controlling the main character.

Any confirmations about changes made not on the actual change log?
It may be a glitch, but did see one guy claiming that The Hand's and School Shooter's manifestos are no longer in evidence.
Normies can't handle edgekino. Anytime some niche PC game goes multiplat all the edge has to be stripped out and the edges sanded down because the kind of retards that buy Xbox consoles in 2025 have toddlerbrains.
Its not even edge, since most of the dark aspects of the game were handled tastefully. Normalfags are just too sheltered nowadays, or live such awful lives they don't want to see dark aspects in their media. Its why any grit and realism are often exchanged for sarcasm and cartoony aesthetics.

I don't even think it's that I think it is marketing people and advertisers when a darker and gritty show comes out and it's good it usually makes bank. The people want darker and more serious shows C-Level people are just pussy faggots who want more gay sex and ironic sarcastic one liners.

I've heard it's meant to be a weird diagetic explanation for why Judge doesn't need to take days off for stress reasons, but that's something of a stretch.
Like I said somewhere earlier in the thread, I just want the MLO bullshit to pay off. Even with this new wave of Void Interactive's gayness I'd still be interested in seeing where they take it.

FWIK the MLO is supposed to be some sort of overarching plot point that connects some of maps, I think they're putting shit in the drugs, for one, (hence the weird things the people are seeing in the meth house) and I also know they're vaguely connected with the CIA guys in the cabin and the cult maps. I also believe some have gone rogue and are doing... Things.

The problem is that we don't have any real motive beyond making "incorruptible soldiers", but even then I don't think that explains the motives of the ones who've gone rogue are.

My assumption would be that their brainwashing to be perfect, incorruptible patriots who would never disobey accidentally implanted the image of a mythical "True America" in their heads. Because the real America doesn't match the one they've pledged allegiance to, they're now working against the US government to establish an American Utopia, engaging in accelerationist shenanigans to lead to the nation's collapse. I picture them as some kind of deranged, heavily-armed, cultish verstion of the John Birch Society.
Of course, it could also be a more generic "revenge against evil intelligence agency and reveal government corruption" plot but let a sperg sperg.
