Worst part is there is some basis for the concept of communal bathing. It was a common practice in the Middle Ages and the Roman Empire for men to bathe together in communal areas, and there was nothing gay about it(yeah yeah I know, insert Roman Empire jokes here). Bathing largely fell out of fashion during the Black Death, as commonly held belief was that bathing would open your pores up to disease, which is why the common historical perception of that time was that nobody bathed and everybody smelled like ass. Leave it to reddit and our current sex-obsessed society to take a tradition based in fraternity and brotherhood and twist it into something horrific and perverted.
